I thought of something else for you to think about. In your previous thread, you were debating between the 4" and 6.5" Model 27's. If you consider the 586, you'll have a similar choice of 4" or 6" and the 6" barrel has a full underlug. I already mentioned the different grips on the 27's, but the other thing that occurred to me is that the 6.5 and 6" guns are really best suited to shooting with two hands. They can be one-handed, but they're a lot of gun. Personally, I still prefer the longer, heavier barrels, but if I were to shoot primarily one-handed, I would prefer the 4" barrel.
