I've got a Ruger M77 that's an '83 model. It currently has a Tasco Pronghorn on it, but it's becoming fogged and difficult to see out of. I'd like a period-type scope to replace it with, and was considering a fixed four power scope such as a K4 Weaver or a 4x40 Bushnell. I won't be shooting past 200 yards with it, regardless of what glass goes on it, but I'm not quite sure that the 4x scopes would be sufficient. A 3x9 would be ok, but so far all the vintage one's I've looked at are a bit out of my price range. The rifle has some sentimental value, and as such I'd like to keep it "correct" to the early 80's if possible.
