Now, I just love me some CLP, but I have one minor complaint, although it's not about the compound itself...

The packaging sucks, universally, as far as I've seen; if it's in an aerosol, the spray arrangement never allows anything less than a torrent with even the slightest displacement of the button. Major mess everywhere.

If it's in a flip-top bottle, it leaks, and the flip-top is a PITA to flip up, usually with a "guard" tab protrusion that I have to cut off, to avoid having to use a pointed tool to open. Unless one has fingernails like Prince...

(Those of a certain age know what I'm talking about when I allude to the style of nozzle that used to be used on lighter fluid cans.)

I'm looking for packaging that is easily allows dispensing a controlled amount where I want it, and not outside the package otherwise. It needs to be either in the container or on the part, and no where else.

Basically, a one-handed opening/dispensing operation.

Any suggestion as to where to get CLP in a precision oiler type arrangement???

Grrrrr.

I never use any CLP (assume you mean Break Free?) anymore, but have made my own dispensers for the shop at least for Ballistol.

After failing with many attempts to make a mister (seems all these oils are too dense?) I gave up and use:
  • Their aerosol, which is pretty good but more expensive, etc.
  • A small FastCap GluBot with the nozzle as tiny as I can make it, for precision oiling. Officially a glue dispenser, but easy to apply precisely, right side up. Dispenses from the bottom so can be good if your oil settles, skins, etc like glue or paint.
  • A Marsh pressurized stencil brush, but again used wrong with oil in it instead of stencil ink. Just sorta vaguely brush across a lot of things like the whole outside of the gun, whole bolt/carrier, after things like ultrasonic, and there's a nice layer of oil on everything.
I haven't used them for this but there are zillions of aftermarket bottles the wife uses for all sorts of liquids, I am sure would stand up to your favorite lube. This set I got here and use for some gluing etc has a variety of dispenser tips and sizes, so set your own up maybe: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1S1HMG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also note if Break Free: It has TFE (teflon) flakes in it. They don't stay in suspension. Add an agitator (anything, an old woodscrew, anything) and shake every few seconds while applying.

Geez, great dispenser for lubing the hinges on a barn door.

Well...yes, except it was much cheaper for awhile, cost per oz, to buy CLP in these spray bottles (16 ozs) than in the 4 oz bottles. These recently were under $20, now are $30 on Amazon.

I use a small Elmers White Glue bottle like this. The bottle on the right was a needle Oiler. I broke off the needle but it still dispenses a drop of oil. B8E25E17-14B4-43A0-B196-A4134F791737.jpeg

Never seen such pre-packaged; I think you're just going to have to find your own applicator bottle and refill it yourself at home.

Lucas makes some extreme duty gun oil. With a needle point for precise oil placement. Its good stuff. When it runs out ill refill with clp. Misplaced the bottle cant post pics.

Like Schoob01, I buy five and ten packs of needle tip 30ML plastic squeeze tubes from Amazon, and fill them with 0-40Wt Mobil 1. Dirt cheap and easy to keep them *everywhere*; range bags, tool kits, cleaning bag.

I know this is getting old, but wanted to suggest other options.
1. I use a wormblower (from fishing) the needle applicator works well for tiny distrib as in slide rails.
2. Visine or other commercial eyedrop bottles for larger distrib.

Grrrrr.

Buy the liquid, unscrew the top, and pour it into a bottle like above, or the military AR kit bottle. Done. I used to pour it from a one gallon jug into those little GI bottles in the Arms Room.

I’ve seen CLP in a spray bottle

Those are handy for belt-feds and Mk 19's.

Hobby Lobby or Michael's craft stores have what you need. A needle oiler isn't really necessary - any kind of narrow plastic spout on a bottle will work.
