I have a bunch of 37mm once fired practice shells. Was hoping to get a launcher but not gonna happen now. They are good thick plastic and shorties at about 1.5” Is there a market for these, and if so what is a good price for them?

Update, they are 40mm. I bought them at least 15 years ago and never checked them. I know I ordered 37 and assumed they were when I got them. Anyway, I have 150 of them that I can’t use.

Photos?!?!?!?!

Asking for a value here is fine, but you'll need to move to the buy, sell, trade, area if you wish to conduct business. Thanks.

No problem, just trying to determine if there is any demand. Also, I can’t find any like what I have listed anywhere to determine what they are worth.

Worth is the intersection of what somebody will give you for them and what you would take for them. My advice, make DAMN sure that they are legal to have (inert so they should be) and pop a couple onto Gunbroker and just see what they go for. Sale price less fees is what they are “worth” to you.

I can see them having a minimal demand as a curiosity. I would put one on my desk as an inkpen holder just for folks to ask me what it is and how I acquired it. The story would no doubt grow beyond “found it on Gunbroker for eight or ten bucks”

I have the 38mm aluminum version, about a dozen or more. Some are full-length and some are cut-down (by me on a lathe) for baton launchers. I used to have a 38mm police gas gun and used it for fireworks displays. I made the fireworks, loaded the shells, and let the kids around our area take turns firing them off. A few times Deputies showed up and they each got a turn, too. (a couple took two turns;)

As far as I can figure, they're not worth much. You have to know how to make what goes inside and the laws on that kind of thing are kind of vague. The people who do that professionally don't seem to buy other people's empties. I think WestKentucky is right, list them on GB or eBay as a curiosity - pen holder, display piece, artwork, etc. - for a couple bucks plus shipping and see who bites. Make sure you say they're inert and demil, for display purposes only, etc.

The aluminum ones I have are tucked away until I can figure out if they meet some kind of AOW disposal requirements or are only recyclable waste.

I would put them on Gun Broker. Someone will want them.

They are the practice round casings for a M203. Should have something that looks like a 38spl round as the primer. The shoot a cone that is filled with chalk to mark the target.
