Surplus Browning Hi Powers

Every single link is “sold out”.
Mine remains a bachelor.:(

I wondered where they would have gotten some. Glocks are beginning to become surplus by now…;)

Glanced at the pics, noted the price... won't bother looking again... This from a guy who thinks that $400 for a ex-Italian police Beretta 92S is a bit high... Yeah, I know nothing is getting cheaper (or more truthfully our money is worth less as each day passes...) but not for me....

I believe many of those were sold in huge lots to various nations for 'official' use. But I didn't see any national markings. Eh, I have a couple I think cover the subject for my collection.

A couple of decades ago, I bought an Argentine HP, removed the grip safety, installed a "no-bite" hammer, did a trigger job, installed good adjustable sights and had it hard-chromed.
It's super-accurate and totally reliable. I don't shoot it much, which is a shame.

Mine is an ergonomic wonder , and it is the best pointing 9mm I’ve ever handled.

"Grip Safety"??? You mean the mag safety?
Your pistol, your right to do anything you want...I know...but you ruined a neat, historical Argentine police contract pistol. Shame.

Mach1 Arsenal often has some pretty decent ones at a fair price for the times. These days, what seems to be a "fair price" seems to be almost 2x what it was a few years ago. I got this 1994 model Mk III from Kerry at Mach 1 in 2015 for $480. He hand-selected it for condition and trigger pull. I admire the Hi Power, enjoy handling and shooting it, but if I had to choose between a Hi Power and a CZ 75-based gun, I'd definitely go with some sort of 75.
