A new revolver maker enters... Henry

A 7 shot .327 4" double action? Sign me up.

Pair it with a bond arms Derringer and a Henry Lever gun both in .327 and I am ready for a DeLorean trip back to 1885.

Looking at the size of the cylinder, they could probably make it an 8 shot in 327

And since I posted a view from the back, that screw hole in the back strap looks, umm... uncomfortable.

No matter how hard I look, I see NEF all over that thing. I’m not saying that as a bad thing, but it’s not necessarily a compliment either. The pics online appear to be 3D design images in high resolution made to be as realistic as possible. I would like to see an actual gun before I judge based upon 3D rendered images.

AND… gutter sights zaps my interest. Adjustable sights on a long barreled 357 would get my attention. Currently the best of those come from Brazil and have a huge barrel shroud.

On the front inside of the trigger guard, right next to the cylinder, in the picture above. What is that little knurled blued slider? Is that some type of safety or something else?

I should have seen this earlier but I just realize they are fixed sight revolvers. That is a huge plus in my book, but I realize it's probably a strike for many other prospective buyers.

As I said in the other thread:

Odd looking critter, I'll say that much. It almost looks like a K frame & a Charter Bulldog had a one-night stand. For the money, I think I'll stick to SAA's.

I really don't think this one is going to go over too well for them, but maybe it will. Pretty it most definitely ain't, and neither is the MSRP. There was a time when I was a Henry fan; now not so much. Their rifles (other than the 22's) are poorly proportioned, heavy, and not as accurate as they claim. I can't imagine the revolver will be very much better.

If the rear view is not an artists/computer rendering but an actual picture they have no intention of anyone aiming this gun. That rear sight notch in the top strap is smaller than the "V" notch in my Pre-war USFA single action. It is difficult to shoot accurately at distance, particularly with my old eyesight. This thing's rear notch makes my USFA look like a canyon. LOL

I think the angle of the revolver in that picture makes the notch seem narrower than it would be if you were viewing directly behind the revolver. I am just excited it's fixed sights. I have a file that will make it whatever width I want. Rather it start too narrow than too wide.

I don't hate it, aesthetically, actually. I actually think it's kind of charming in a weird way. Especially the bird's head one, which is interesting because of the single-action aesthetics on a modern DA revolver. But it would need to have a good trigger in DA and SA mode and be cheaper with better sights to be of interest.

As much I I think their lever action rifles look fine I cannot look at that too long or it hurts the eyes. It will likely succeed if it is reliable and on the calibers offered. I believe there is a niche to be filled. To be honest I am much surprised they did not come out with a SAA clone, I know its been done many times over, but to pair with a decent lever action rifle seems a fit.

Interesting for sure. I applaud them for trying.
