Components for cartridges you don’t shoot?

The few odd-ball cartridges that show up in my purchased brass are sold to a local scrap metal dealer.

I mostly pick up range brass or whatever reloading stuff I can use at estate sales/auctions. They are always things not needed in the lots.
I keep what I want and sell, trade, or give away the other stuff. I can tie 4 firearms purchases to obtaining a pile of brass, then finding a set of used dies for a stupid good price and thinking "why not" get something to use these with. I am a reloadaholic!

I pick up range brass even if I don't use it. I take it home, decap and tumble it. I figure I might find a trade for it. I just got an Upper receiver for the 6.5CM I had built up and another guy is bringing me some .257Roberts brass for my can of 9mm.

I had a Marine tell me he was getting out of shooting/reloading. He offered me a 30-06 Axis for 150. He side he would include any dies, powder, etc with it. I didn't care for the old -06, but I figured why not. He brought in almost 1k primers, barely touched 8# of H4350, four different dies sets, brass, and bullets. I kept asking if he was sure and snuck an extra bill into his bag afterwards cause I felt so bad. I got paid to buy that gun.

Even better when I went to sight it in as a "loaner" for any Marine that wanted to try hunting, it shot cloverleaf for 5 shots every time I let the barrel cool (sporter weight). It now has a spot in my long range guns.

I started to say no but realized I do. I have 45-70 and 44 Mag cases and don't own anything that would use those. Where did I get those? Maybe at some point I had planned to buy something that chambered those cartridges. Can't remember doing that. Oh well, life is full of mysteries.

I don't buy components that I don't have guns for but I do acquire stuff from time to time. I sell it, gift it or trade it. I pick up all range brass and I also sell it, gift it or trade it. But I don't buy things that I can't use.

No, honestly I don't. I use my money for components I do need. This stuff is getting expensive. I almost bought some 41 Special brass for my 41 magnum, but then thought, Why?
I'll never use it.
I have too many other things I need like primers and powder, and the Garmin C1 chronograph. I'm not I buying it until I know the problems with it are mitigated.
If there is a bad one sent out, I'm pretty sure I'll be the one to get it.
I can see the allore of wanting an inventory of the obsolete and hard to get though, I just can't afford it.
First I'm hearing about problems the Garmin. Where can I read about this?

I don't buy stuff I can't use, but I did inherit a bunch of it...including a pile of empties for .220 Swift. There is no chance I'll ever own a .220 Swift.
