reloading supplies in middle GA?

Not sure what part of middle GA you are in, but Jerry's Sport Shop in Ambrose, Ga has a really good supply of powder. Bullets are a little more limited and I not sure about primers.
Call them at 912-359-3241, they'll tell you if they have what you want. While you're there look at the gun prices, they have some of the best around.

Sports Center in Perry.

Shooters in Columbus has a fairly good selection of reloading equipment and components, although they are priced higher than what you can order them online. They have a good assortment of powder, usually have bulk pistol bullets and .223 bullets, and they usually have primers. They carry some reloading equipment (Dillon, RCBS, and Lee). They also have a good selection of pistols and tactical weapons plus an indoor range. If you have not been here it may be worth a trip.

The sports center in Perry did not have much reloading stuff the last time I was there, but that was 9 months or so ago when compenents and ammo was is very short supply.

I have also heard about a pawn shop in Warner Robbins that carry's reloading stuff, but have not been there and can't remember the name. I think that it is on Watson Blvd.

Keith Brookshire in Dawsonville has a great selection of reloading stuff. He is usually at the gun shows around Atlanta. He doesn't have a storefront but I think that he will open his shop by appointment. His company name is Southeastern Ammo and Components. Their phone is (706) 265-8667. He has good prices, is extremely helpful and keeps a good supply of most reloading components and equipment.

Let us know if you find any other good reloading places in Georgia as this is all I know except for Bass Pro, Jerry's shop in Ambrose, and Franklin's in Athens.

There is a pawnshop on Watson Blvd...It is called Chuck's, but it is probably the highest priced business that I know of!! I have actually swore an oath to never return due to their ridiculous prices and tactics...I saw powder there for around $35 a pound for rifle, some primers for $45 a thou....What else??....Used gun prices on beat up woods guns for MSRP of a new gun...They apparently do brisk business, but I do believe it is a good bit of the young Airmen coming off the local base and buying the must-have guns..Sports Center in Perry has gotten a lot of my business. They usually have a good bit of powder/primers/dies etc...There are some very knowledgeable folks there too. Matt works the counter and he is an avid reloader for rifle and pistol and knows his stuff. They will help you out in what you need.....I don't work there either BTW..

I was in the Sports Center in Perry on Wed., 5/26 and he had a good supply of powder and an excellent supply of CCI, Federal and Winchester primers. All his primers were $32.49 or $32.99 per K. I can't remember which. I didn't see a sign limiting the number of primers per person. There was a sign limiting 1K per person the last time I went in there (maybe 6 months ago). I bought a pound of Titegroup and it was $23.99. They also carry reloading tools (dies, shellplates, etc.). Not the best prices, but reasonable in today's market.

Also, there is a place on Vineville in Macon called A to Z Guns that supposedly has a good supply of reloading tools and components. I have not been there, only heard about it at the range, so I can't give you any info re pricing and stock levels.

Sports Center does have CCI primers as of Wed. Didn't see any bulk powder, only one pound jars. I can't help you on the bullets as I haven't looked. I only use Sports Center to buy 1 lb. jars of powders I want to test. I buy my bullets, bulk powders, and bulk primers from Internet sources.

I was in the Sports Center on Friday. They did have bulk primers and powder. The large containers were on a seperate aisle adjacent to the boots.

I bought a 4lb container of #2400 for $79.95+tax.. A good price in todays market. The CCi primers were $32.95, and Win and Federal were $34.95 per 1,000.. Compare that to what Midway is asking in their latest flyer and you'll see that those are reasonable prices.

They do have signs stating that a limit of 1,000 primers per type exists. I know of another shop that if they know you, and believe that you're buying them to use yourself rather than resell on the internet at rediculous prices, they won't limit you. I bought 10,000 Federal Small pistol at that other shop back in the "craze". However, they knew that I am a competition shooter and would use them myself. (I did).
