That is some serious killing of hogs

No doubt, someone has tried....but it is ILLEGAL in the State of Texas to do so.I haven't read the entire thread, but does anyone poison hogs?
Sterilization might be a more viable means. Poisoning has the potential to create many problems. But, neither method will be developed/practiced by the State any time soon (if ever). As prolific as they are, it would seem to be a good idea even if it is a nasty way to do things.
Conventional methods...(Shooting, Trapping, Snaring, Aerial, Dogs) can be somewhat effective IF the landowner can devote the time and monetary resources to it.Normally, I don't hold with poison, but if your place is being ruined..

just wanted to let you know, that after reading this thread, I actually consider getting an AR, even though after I got out of the army, I said I was done with them
If there was a $500 bounty on every hogs head we wouldn't have a hog problem...14 or so Boars @ $500 a head and you'd be making out like......er,.....flint!

Hi Brandon,Pics from Arizona. I dont know if anyone on here has experience hunting them out here...they are not nearly as abundant and seem to be very localized around permanent water.
Do you have unfettered access to it? Is it private or public land? This spot is a ways out in the wilderness.
Possibly. Depends on what kind of food sources are in the area and how often you can keep it baited.seems like baiting is going to have to be the way to get them.
If by "respond"...you mean (how fast will they find it), it can vary. How fast do pigs usually respond to bait?
Not long....if you have a group of hogs. If they have free access to the bait (no action taken to meter the amount) they can easily clean up 50 lbs. in one visit.how long will say 50 pounds of buried corn and spread around last?
