Bushnell 3200 Elite 4- 12

good scope for the money. In my opinion much better then a nikon prostaff and as good as a buckmaster.

I have one an Elite 3200 on my hunting .30/06, excellent scope.

I have one on a 10/22 & love it. extremely bright & well made. The Elite series is made in Japan, not China, and the quality rivals much higher dollar competitors.

Among the three, anyone knows who has the clearer glass and doesnt fog up big time?

Bushnell 3200
Nikon buckmaster
Burris Fullfield ll

All are in the $200 to $240 range.

No experience with the Nikon, but the Bushnell>Burris.

Bushnell puts out some of the best scopes available for the money.

On those three the Elite takes the cake. The Nikon Monarch would be more on par with the Elite. Bushnell also combined the 4200 and 3200 Elite lines this year but left the 6500 line. The new "Elite" line will have the same features as the 4200 line, but with a better coating on the lenses. Should be around the same price too.

After a decent amount of research I finally settled on a Bushnell Elite 4200 for my hunting rifle. I'm quite satisfied with the purchase the 4200 is extreemly clear and bright in low light conditions (especially for the $218 sale price). My buddy has a 3200 on his rifle and really likes it. I cannot speak to the Nikon or Burris, although i have heard they are good. The vortex Diamondback and Nikon Team Primos both have good reputations, and might also be worth a look.

I have a 3200 4 X 12 on my varmint rifle. I have no complaints so far. It has a reticle that Bushnell no longer offers. If this reticle were still offered, I would have more of these scopes.
Since sighting it in four years ago I have not had to touch the scope since. The rifle gets knocked around quite abit. Like the old Timex commercial used to say- Takes a lickin and keeps on ticken.

Best anti-fog coating out there is Bushnells RainGuard. Good scopes at a fair price.

Is this a good price for a Team PRimos? BTW , are these still being made by Nikon or discontinued ? Most say this has the quality of a Monarch for less price.

Just picked up a 3200 5x15x40 for a 17M2 from natchez TYD$246.00 This is alot of scope for the money.Clear,Bright, long eye relief, Tracks perfect.Compare to others and u will see the difference.

The Redfield (ala Leupold "Rifleman") 4X12x40, available everywhere for $209.99 (though my lgs has them on sale for $189.99), seems to be a good scope for the money. I haven't had mine long enough to judge durability, zero stability, etc., the optics seem very good and the warranty is one of the best in the business.

The 3x9 Team Primos scopes that I have seen were priced at 199, but I do not believe they had the BDC reticle. The last price I could find on the BDC model was the same you have found on e-bay. This was at www.midwayusa.com, the last time they had them in stock. From the best information I had, they were a Monarch sold as a promotion. Do not ask what Team Primos was supposed to be, maybe someone else knows. On another forum they said it was like Team RealTree. Go figure. Good price. However, www.natchezss.com has the Sightron SII 3-9x42 for 199.95 and is probably a better scope. Plus there is a 50 dollar rebate coupon down loadable from www.sighton.com. 150 bucks for a Sightron SII is a steal. I just picked up a SII Big Sky from midway for 300 bucks including shipping and there is a 75 dollar rebate. It has the climate control coating that is like the Bushnell rainguard. So many deals, I wish I had unlimited funds.

It is a good scope but the optical clarity leaves a bit to be desired. I suppose I am just ruined by the Sightron S-II, Vortex Viper, Elite-4200 and Monarch (roughly in order of preference). All of which are worth the additional coin IMO (some models can even be found a bit cheaper depending upon features and magnification range desired).

If you use google product search, you'll see several places selling that scope at $10 - $20 below the ebay price. Also, as an aside to the OP, it looks like Cabela's is selling an Elite 4200 3x9 for $199... at that price, if you don't need the extra magnification, might as well step up a notch from the 3200. dho3 is right, it seems to be an excellent time to be in the scope buying business.

I agree the Sightron SII is awesome and the Vortex Viper 2x7s are being closed out. The Sightron is made in Japan and that particular Vortex in the Phillipines I believe. I do not own any Vortex products, but hear only great reviews. Only their Crossfire line is made in China, so imo I would stay away from them. The Elite 4200 is awesome also, as well as the Monarch. All except the Vortex, as I have no experience with them, can do 99 percent of what scopes costing 3 to 4 times a much can do. In other words, there is really no need to spend the extra cash beyond these especially for this power range.

THanks for the tip on the 4200 sale. Thats is a very good price.

I just looked up that Cabela price on the Elite 4200 3x9. That is a terrific price. I have to admit, the Sightron SII or the Elite 4200 are looking for a rifle to go on and at 150 bucks, the Sightron would be hard to beat, unless the Rainguard is really important.

I disagree on a holistic level, but when limited to general sporting use I very much agree (and I have a couple that cost a good bit more used as such). OTOH one would be ill-equipped if you include LR target, benchrest competition, et cetera (though I seriously doubt any of the aforementioned is the case here).

That is why I added for this power, meaning magnification range. But, I would still be happy using a Sightron SIII for LR shooting as opposed to many other scopes costing much more. I would also be just as happy using my Kahles, Trijicon or Sightron SII or even my Leupold VX-3 for hunting as compared to a Swarovski. In my comparisons I cannot justify the cost difference and I do not believe I would end up with any more deer in my freezer. Just imho.

I don't find magnification to be the primary problem (I find that many folks use more than they need for most any task), but rather a general lack of features desired for target shooting (for LR target they include: FFP, matched reticle/adjustments, ballistic reticle, et al).

BTW, if your Kahles is one of the discontinued CL models from CDNN it is a fantastic scope for the money.

I actually have all three of the scopes listed and the full field II is probably my favorite however I'm not sure I could quantify the difference between them. The 3200 is an awesome scope. Also there is a bushnell outlet here in kansas city and you can get them new for around %30 off more or less depending on the model. I bought the big 5-15x50 with the shade hood for 225 I thought that was a bargain

I have the 4x12 elite 3200 on a Rem 700 7mm mag. I think it's as good as the Leo varixII's may be a tick better than Nikons. The raingaurd actually helps in Light transmisson. You will be well served.
