I'm a 1911 guy through and through but up until recently I've never like a single DA/SA handgun until I finally bought a Beretta 92A1. I shot a rental 92FS long ago and liked it but it was never a gun I considered when buying new. Well now I think Berettas are the best DA/SA guns out there. :)

So anyone else here like Berettas?

Also, not yet in my inventory but, someday -

Yep! I am becoming a Beretta fan more and more over time. Both mine are very reliable so far.

Beretta certainly is doing something right, good looking pistols that work, really, really good. One reason that I don't understand why people like Glocks, they are ugly.

Don't know how to post pictures, but I love every Beretta I have ever owned. They are great guns, reliable, accurate, and just downright good looking.

92FS Compact
PX4 Storm 9mm
PX4 Storm Compact
PX4 Storm SC
CX4 Storm (PX mag)

Nice collection!

All you need is a picture host like http://imageshack.us/, make an account, upload your pictures and next to each picture are small icons where you can get the address for that picture, copy the address, post a message, click the icon that looks like a yellow square with a mountain in it and paste the address, then hit reply.

Because they're super simple , lightweight and easy to maintain. They're very simple (Did I say that already?) with no manual safeties and most people don't want to learn how to manipulate controls sometimes. If my Berettas do any type of duty the safeties are off with a round in the chamber. My Elite is decocker only and i put a set of stealth levers on my PX4 which makes them low profile and decocker only as well.

My 1911s are C'd & L'd though and have no problem with them what so ever.

Probably because we really don't give a crap about how a gun looks, when the intended purpose is to save our lives and to keep chugging away regardless of how much abuse/neglect we give it. I swear some people buy guns for the wrong reasons...

couldn't agree more :)

i like glocks and 1911's. glocks are ugly, 1911's not so much. all of mine are reliable, and i didn't buy my 1911's for aesthetic appeal or to take pretty pics for internet gun forums lol

I agree that function over form should be the number one priority over a firearm purchase bought for defensive purposes. It is nice when you get both in one though. I get both in my 1911s and Berettas and everyone likes pictures which is another way of enjoying firearms and making purchase decisions in the community. I personally use all of my firearms thoroughly and have no space for safe queens. ;)

Well my Beretta family just increased by one. I just ordered a 92 compact from the batch that was recently imported.

Oh hell yes. Huge Beretta fan! I have eight 92 variants and a PX4 in 9mm. I have been carrying a fullsize 92FS concealed for 18-19 months now. I did just switch to one of my 92 compacts last Monday, though.
