I just read over on another forum where a guy just got his back order T-Grips in the mail. It seems they are back in business. Great for them...Too bad for all the guys who joined the frenzy and have been paying 50-100 bucks for used ones over the past few months.

I hope they make it. I like mom n' pop operations, and they went through some hard times. I hope their mistakes in taking orders and not fulfilling them turned out to be a lesson learned in how not to run a business. I've been wanting to order some, so I guess I'll start paying attention to them again.

Tyler has reopened under new ownership. From the info. at their web site it sounds as if the new owner is related to the old owners. I wish him the every best, but I will not be ordering from them anytime soon. B.K. grips are offering a similar product and the reviews for them have been very positive.

I read the message from the new owner, Bryan Matthews. I believe he may have been involved in the company before as an employee/family member. I called and spoke to a Bryan a couple of years ago....At any rate, I applaud the company for getting back in business and filling their orders. I will definitely order from Tyler in the near future.

I want to wait until I hear some new reports of people buying the adapters and actually getting them before I place my order.

I was bidding on a new one on eBay a few weeks ago and had to bail out once it got over $90! :what:

Just read this:
My intent is to have inventory and orders shipped out as they are received instead of back orders or custom made items. This means that all trigger shoes will be manufactured in black once the back orders have been completed, and bronze items will be available for a limited run in both T-GRIPS AND TRIGGER SHOES.

So I guess that means that once all the backorders are caught up, they are only going to be making black T-Grips? Sounds like a bad business decision to me. Hope it's not true. I'd really like to have a brushed aluminum.

I'm glad to hear they're getting back on their feet. I have three t-grips and they really do fit my hand well. If this is for real, I'll be ordering some more eventually.

I have always liked Tyler T-Grips, especially on my J frame snubbies. I hope they get everything worked out with their back orders and that they can stay on top of things with new production.

Got mine yesterday

Tyler T-Grips are back. I had written off the order I made back in January. It came yesterday. I am so happy for the company and the product. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, whatever might have happened in the past. I am making another order.

For the past few months they have bringing big money on eBay compared to what they cost new.

I was bidding on a new 3R on eBay a few weeks ago and had to give up once the bid went above $90. Don't know how high it ended up selling for, but people are spending a lot of money on them. Or least they were...

Give 'em a call now that they are back in business....I have read several reports of guys getting their backordered parts in the mail this week.

If they had a phone number listed I would.I won,t hold my breath.I filed a complaint with the OK. attorneys general office againest tyler manf.I will see where that gets me.

I placed my order about that time, and I got mine yesterday. Very nice looking units that fit just fine. I will order from them again. I'll give them a little time to finish catching up their backorders, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Anyone can have a problem.

YMMV.

My fingers and toes are crossed,I hope you are correct.I have no sympathy for DISHONEST DEALINGS.Glad to hear you got your grips, still waiting for mine.

At this point I see no evidence of "dishonest dealings." I admit that for a while things looked bad, but it would have been easy to just declare bankruptcy and reorganize. Maybe even change the name of the company and keep selling the same product.

Working to fill the backorders, and restore the company name seems to me worthy of a second look.

Again. YMMV.

Until I see my grips in my hands, yes tyler manf. was dishonest in there dealings.Tyler so far has kept and used my hard earned money since last march. If thats, not dishonest I don,t know what is?Maybe the should change there company name because they have gotten a lot of bad feedback on many shooters websites.

I still don't see the dishonest part. The owner fell ill and behind. Sure, still taking people's money was poor business practice, but seeing that back orders are being filled right now and the product is showing up people's boxes all is good in my book.

Not to get into a pi$$in match with you or anyone else on this subject but when I send you money for goods to be purchased and you keep my money and don,t deliver the product you promised in a timely mannor in my book is dishonest.Maybe you were brought up different than me.

Sorry Frank, I know you're upset but I see no reason to think that anything here was "dishonest". Sometimes "it" happens. People die, companies go out of business. If it happens while they have your money then it is unfortunate but you have zero knowledge of their intent.

I would suggest leaving "upbringing" out of a discussion about $30 grip adapters. No reason to go talking about somebody's momma.
