"Wow, that episode with Sara was informative."
- Dr. Rob

I second that!!!

I had a low opinion of Jake to begin with and now I'm even more stoked to see someone "club the seal". :neener:

The fact that Jake cost his team a 5 second penalty that was never covered on the show is BS. The fact that he also told the blue team that if anyone voted him to elimination he would win the elimination and then throw every team challenge from that point on is just plain sad. It's manipulative and it's bad sportsmanship.

Worse yet is that no one on the blue team appears willing to stand up to him and "club the seal". :neener:
(I'm gonna keep saying that until it becomes a thing) :p

Go red team! Send blue to elimination! Maybe someday a hero will rise up and "club the seal". :neener:

* Note: I do not condone clubbing actual seals or Navy SEAL's in general, only this particular seal. ;)

Does anybody know the brand or name of the shotshell belt holder they used last week on the show? I can't seem to find any when I search some of the various manufacturers. Thanks!!

Choate makes a 4 and 6 shell caddy that looks a lot like that. I think Midway carries them.

That's the one I ended up ordering. Things are alot easier to find when you put the right key-words in the search entry...thanks...

If they shut the fool up that does the announcing I might enjoy the show. His constant yelling in the mike reminds me of the idots trying to sell mattresses on the local news.

Now, that's funny, right there. I don't care who you are. :D

Frankly, I wasn't too surprised the the Junior Olympian shotgunner had trouble with slugs at 40 yards. That's a whole different ball game.

I plan on listening to the radio shows from now on, it gives a whole new dimension to the experience.

If they want to keep strong shooters in the competition...they are only fooling themselves.

Team competition means very little in this show, at least as far as the last 2 seasons went.

Now, now...iff'n it wasn't for his play by play, how on earth would we know what's happening?
I mean...other than actually seeing whats before your eyes...

He learned his "excellent" play by play announcing from his time as a contestant on Survivor. :barf: The host on Survivor does the same thing.

Disclaimer: I'm not a Survivor fan but my wife is addicted.

Would that be considered a ND by the revolver guy on the red team?

yeah, he fired it before he even brought it up to eye level. He as much stated that he fired it before he was ready. Thank goodness it was pointed down range and hopefully they are on a VERY large piece of land...

I would have had a totally different expression than either of the two contestants in the elimination challenge when Colby revealed the Gatling Gun. It would have involved a lot of excited yelling and hopping around. That is just too cool, and I would love to someday be able to have that experience. I'm also envious of whoever gets to use the cannon next week!

I finally caught an episode yesterday. The complete lack of basis firearm safety shocked me. I thought they would have disqualified the guy who had the ND, but they acted like it was nothing. I'm far from a safety nazi, but I couldn't believe even the "experts" would pick up a gun with their finger in the trigger guard!

I'm sure there was some chastising and godawful hazing afterwards.

I didn't listen to the commentary, which is why I was unsure but that seemed like a bad mistake. It probably threw off his confidence for the rest of the competition.

It just shows that nerves can get the best of anyone.

There seems to be a greater difference between the teams on how to handle pressure this year, regardless of pitting the winners against the losers.

Caught the episode. Actually, after he made the mistake he calmed down and performed very well.

And even though it was a ND, it was pointed down range and the redundancies of safety procedures rendered the mistake harmless. It was an honest mistake in the heat of a speed competition with a gun with which he was unfamiliar in circumstances of which he had extremely little time to prepare. It wasn't the first time it happened on this show and it won't be the last. Even perhaps the very best pistol shooter they ever had on the show (the Filipino guy in the first season, who is all-world and has a race gun named after him...I forget his name) made the very same mistake.

I noticed that also. The "expert" with the Remington handled the pistol like a 9 year old with a cap gun.
