Not looking for one myself but I wanted to pass it along. Just got the weekly specials email from them and they are offering the 92fs for $489. I've never seen them priced that low before.
I'd love one of those, but I can't look at handguns on CDNN because they won't sell them to New York State residents, despite its being perfectly legal. It ticks me off. I know all about Bloomberg and his shenanigans, but I don't live in NYC, and Michael Bloomberg has no jurisdiction over me. I have complained politely to CDNN, but they've never given me any reason for their policy. If fact, they never even answered my messages.
Sorry for the hijack, but CDNN and handguns is one of those "Niagara Falls" issues to me.
You mean besides Michael Bloomberg being a megalomaniac who wants to blame his city's problems on somebody besides his own residents? Or just the long history of abusive gun control in NYC, starting with the Sullivan Law in 1911 (ironic date, that)?I actually think the issue is that, despite it not being unlawful, that doesn't stop NYC officials going after companies for shipping guns to NY. You never read about this happening with NJ, Il, Ca, Hi, Ma, Ct, and other anti-gun states. Just NY. There's a reason why.
The problem is that Bloomberg doesn't hold state office: he's the mayor of one city. I don't live in NYC, so I can't vote against him. He's running rogue, operating way above his pay grade. Statewide we're almost evenly balanced, with a thin Republican majority in the Senate that manages to defeat the worst of the anti-gun legislation. But an upstate resident can't do diddly about Michael Bloomberg. There are Democrat states (colorado, for example) that have perfectly sane, red state gun laws. Why? It's not because Democrats there magically have rational views of guns, it's more that citizens in those states will throw them out on their asses if they start up this nonsense, and they know it.
I understand your pain and feel bad for my THR brothers stuck in such unfriendly territory. I lived in Florida for 30 years, Colorado for 3, and now live in Texas, so thankfully I have never dealt with such oppression, but I wouldn't be too happy if I had toYou mean besides Michael Bloomberg being a megalomaniac who wants to blame his city's problems on somebody besides his own residents? Back to the OP: if I were getting a full-size all-metal semi-auto handgun, it would be a Beretta or a CZ. That's a hard-to-beat deal for sure.
