Well, I finally found a 92G that was not the Elite, it is a Centurion Police Special. I have a 92FS Police Special and I have loved it since the day I got it. Before I got it, I was not a Beretta fan but after shooting it, I have been in love ever since. The only things I would change on the 92fs is the safety, I prefer the de-cock only like the 92G, that is why I have been looking for one for so long. I also wouldn't mind the Centurion since the Beretta is already plenty big so a little compactness would be great, once agan the 92G Centurion fits the bill. One more thing I would change is the grip size, unfortunatly the grip is the same on the 92g and the 92fs but it is not that big of a problem since I think the 92fs grip is workable. I guess my dream gun would be the 92G Vertec.

Anyway, I had to share and wanted to know if there are any other 92G owner out there and what they think of the "G".

I don't have the G model but I do have two D model (DAO) Centurions. One is in 9mm and one in .40S&W, love 'em both. The Centurion is one of my all time favorites. You've got a nice gun there.

I have a 96G-SD lying next to the bed with a Surefire X200 attached to it. Picking a gun as your HD gun is the biggest endorsement I can think of. If it ever goes down for maintenance, a Sig P226R will be taking its place. Decock-only is the ultimate "it better work when I need it" style of semiauto pistol, IMHO. No trigger safety, no grip safety, and no thumb safety to worry about.

My Beretta 92fs is currently my HD gun. Out of all the rifles, shotguns and handguns I own, I always keep the 92fs loaded by the bed. I could have my choice between AKs, AR, 870s, Moss 500 or several revolvers or autos but I always stay with the 92fs because it has never failed in over 3000rds and I can shoot it fast and accuratly. I hope to replace it with one of the 92Gs if they prove to be as reliable.
