I just put one on layaway today that comes with the additional 9mm Luger barrel. I bought it mainly to have a double stack 9mm in a 1911, but the new round seems intriguing. Does anyone have some trigger time behind one at all?
I think it's a 9mm necked down to .223 by design but the actual cartridge is manufactured using shortened .223 cases..22 TCM ... a special cartridge developed by Armscor ... peak velocity of 2100 fps.
The cartridge is produced using a .223 Rem. case, which has the same rim diameter as the 9mm Para
Looks like the 22TCM edges out the FN 5.7. Would be interested in seeing some side-by-side ballistics testing for sure.2wheels said:.22TCM ... Five Seven ... I wonder how the ballistics compare.
And that is also before other ammo makers have a chance to toy with .22TCM to see what it's capable of, so we'll just have to wait and see.Looks like the 22TCM edges out the FN 5.7. Would be interested in seeing some side-by-side ballistics testing for sure.
28/31 gr FN 5.7×28mm - 2,350 fps
40 gr Armscor .22TCM - 2,100 fps
