Ok so I've just heard that Colby Donaldson said that season 4 is gonna be the last season of Top Shot.:(:cuss: So here's what, we need to start sending emails to Bass Pro Shops, Colby and anybody else that has anything to with it. Start complaining like crazy and maybe, just maybe they'll listen to vox populii.
Even if Colby doesn't have anything to do with stopping the show maybe he show the emails to someone who can,:)

Ok ,got that off my chest so now I can talk proper. Whats your thoughts on Season 4? And who do you think will win?

Did you hear it was cancelled or just had not been renewed yet and where did you hear that?
According to Colby's Twitter (yeah, I follow him, don't judge) 4 Days ago he posted "Let me be clear: #TopShot has NOT been cancelled. Ratings were strong last night & we need that to continue in order to get green light on S5."

It looks like History channel is doing well:
NEW YORK, March 27, 2012 – Continuing its phenomenal ratings success – HISTORY secured its best quarter ever in key demos in 1st Quarter 2012, with key adults and total viewers. Leading the charge are Pawn Stars, American Pickers, and Swamp People, as well as Top Tuesdays (Top Shot/Top Gear), Larry the Cable Guy and Ax Men.

I've tried watching that show, the premise of a "Top Shot" based on the idiocy of the host and the canned team rivalry, leaves a lot to be desired for a true competition. The only they haven't done yet it sit down and shoot marbles in the dirt for their first test of skill, not impressed and will skip it. Needs to be terminated.

I agree that the host is somewhat over-dramatic, and the "reality tv" aspect of the show is annoying at best, but I love every competition bit they've done on the show. In all fairness, I've only seen the first two seasons, but I can't think of a single competition that didn't fit in with the main point of the show, which is simply marksmanship - with any type of weapon.

I really enjoy the show overall.

I like it alot and record/watch every episode. I would hate for it to be canceled. I ain't got my entry sent in yet...

The thing you have to remember is that TS has to appeal to a wider spectrum of people than just the established shooter. Sure they could just film an IDPA or three gun event, but that wouldn't appeal to nearly as many people. I love Top Shot, so does my wife. But theres no doubt that she wouldn't be nearly as interested if it were more "bland". Just enjoy having 3 big shows based around firearms on during primetime on major channels.

Last week they shot a 338 Lapua Magnum at a target 1500 yards away. That's hardly shooting marbles.

I would rather watch that than another dumb sitcom or cop show.

Isn't there a History Channel 2? I've noticed that they advertise that they run a disparate Top Shot there. Maybe they mean that they'll just go there..

I watch it off their web site on Wednesdays (still has commercials, oh well) and have no problem fast forwarding out of the drama parts and right to the shoot outs.

Yes, there is a H2, however they do not air a "Top Shot" there. The show is similar, hosted by Colby Donaldson, but it is "Top Guns".

I like it for the fact that I get to see a few more guns on television, but I do not expect it to make it more than one season.

hulu.com has episodes from both Top Shot as well as Top Guns for your viewing pleasure. (free to watch)

Top Guns is on H2, on Wed. Colby, himself, and the couple of "experts" get to shoot the weapons used on Top Shot that week. Lot more history of the weapon there on Top Guns.

Remember when the History Channel was the Hitler Channel? All Nazis, All The Time?

Man do I miss those days. Remember Tales of the Gun? Such an awesome show. I could watch the same episode a hundred times, especially the German small arms of WWII episode. When it comes to Nazi stuff I just switch it to the Military Channel.

Also bear in mind the there would still be a Season 5 if they are not renewed. They filmed the next season in the Fall of 2011.

Season 4 was filmed during the Spring/Summer of 2011...that is why it is 100+ degrees when they are shooting.

THANK YOU FOR SEEING THIS SHOW AS I DO.

I like the show, it is FAR and I mean FAR better than the 2 gun family owned shops that build absolute junk and act like idiots.

Take a look at the bigger picture. Regardless of if you like Top Shot, Sons of Guns or American Guns, how can having three prime time cable series focused on guns be a bad thing? Does each show have issues? Sure, but if any of three shows are causing people to want to learn how to shoot or get into guns, isn't that a good thing? The more shooters we have, the better for all of us.
