What is the last gun that you bought?

Well....it's kinda a long story - but we're very active with the Friends of NRA Banquets (I chair the event in our home county), so we went to one in Austin last night - ended up with:

Kimber Custom II (raffle)
Engraved Henry Golden Boy (auction)
Masterpiece Arms 380 (auction)
Stoeger O/U (raffle)
Ruger LCP (raffle)

Wife wanted to try the Ruger an' Masterpiece, so we loaded the LCP's bucket pretty heavy, an' just outbid 'em on the other. Since I'm a bit of a .45 freak, I tripped when they called my number on the Kimber!:D

My grandfather had one.
When I was big enough, he basically turned me loose with it.
There's no telling how many 1,000's of shells went through it and how much food my grandmother cooked up.
I became very proficient/fast with that bolt action.

The B.S. got to flowing the other day, and I started in with the "when I was a kid...."
I'd have had to have one come hell or high water. Shoot, I'm still looking for the right Mossberg 352 just because it was the first gun I ever fired.

Picked up a nearly new as you can get (as in I put the first scuffs on the magazine tube by just cycling the action) Rem 870 18" shotgun. Ran the serial, it is a 1998 build, and I am pretty darn sure I fired the first rounds through it. Couldn't pass it up! I know it was a safe queen for at least the last 12 years. My first 870, and so far I like it!

I picked up 2 new guns this week:

#1 - I bought back my old duty-issued 9mm Sig P226R from my agency, as we recently switched over to .40S&W in the same exact model.

#2 - I traded my old .38 Taurus M85 revolver and some cash for a new 9mm Glock 19 Gen 4.

^ My God man, how's she shoot???

Also, just picked up a Gen 4 26. 100 rounds, no brass to the face or failures. Second Gen 4 is a good experience as well.

Only 3rd time out, off a bipod, shot a 2.25" group (about .5 MOA) at 400 yards using Black Hills 168g ammo. I'm VERY pleased. I think it will get even better w/ some more rounds down the pipe and a good day.

Bought a S&W 442 to carry in my pocket; can't abide by the lil mouse guns like the POS LCP I had much cause I can't hit anything with them,

Here it is

sorry, no better pic as I'm at my fiancee's parents' for mother's day.

On an unrelated note, anyone know whether the wood grips or plastic ones are thinner on a baby browning type? May just homebrew some for a fun project (as soon as I get my shotgun finished.)

S&W Bodyguard Airweight .38 special with the fat grips . Rides well in my right pants pocket in an Uncle MIke's Pocket Holster , with a speed loader & Schrade one hand lock blade in my left .

Now that is impressive!
