Well, from the video...
Perhaps that does look a bit too tough, but we don't know how strong she is, or exactly how hard she's pushing.Shown starting at about the 4:50 mark.
I watched the video and came to the same conclusion I formed after reading your description...she isn't doing it correctly.Well, from the video, she inserted the magazine to where the top bullet made contact, . . . and then she REALLY pushed hard to get it to lock in place. I was just wondering if this was a common characteristic or if she may have an odd issue with hers.
Did you watch her reloads at the beginning of the video?I don't think she's doing it wrong.
Part of it is that she isn't grabbing or holding the magazines correctly when bringing them up for the reload. The fumble will cause hesitation in the insertion of the magazine into the magazine well.Did you watch her reloads at the beginning of the video?
I'd be willing to bet if she takes a class, one of the first things an instructor (well, a competent one) would zero in on would be her reloads. She looks like she slides the mag in lightly to the point of resistence, then clicks it in place..
A larger window of functionality allows the use of a less than optimal technique...it doesn't make the technique more optimal. If one insist on using a less than optimal technique, one should choose guns/magazines that have larger windows of functionality. And yet the 8 round mags aren't an issue for her.
