Shield

Congrats on the shield, since Im a remora fan that's what i would suggest.

Congrats on finding a Shield. Both of mine have been great so far. As to holsters; I only carry OWB and some time ago I bought a Galco Jak slide and an El Paso holster for my G36. It seems both of them fit the Shield really well. The Jak slide is very thin and the Shield disappears completely under an untucked polo shirt. I just never cared for IWB and found it to be uncomfortable. I have carried my Shield in a small nylon type holster, in my boot, and it worked very well. I've tested my carry modes several times recently, with those who know I carry, and no one has found it yet. I may soon go with something like the Bianchi "Hawk".

I really like the Don Hume rig I picked up for mine, pictured below. Also as mags have been practically unobtainable, get them at Cabela's while they're in stock here

Does the slot in the tab on the holster go all the way through? I can't tell from the pictures.

It enters that loop and then passes through the second loop where the lettering is and exits at the end of the rig. With the two loops it holds the gun quite tight to the body, much better than the single loop models I tried. They seemed to flop around.

I bought a nifty IWB from Deadeye Luke for my Sheild, thin and easy on and off and $25. Just ordered one for my S&W 640 Pro. Just Google his website.

I checked out Hume too and they don't sell to the public. Call gunnersalley.com and ask about the 30C JIT holster. It is really for a Sig 239 but the pictures show it to fit fairly well. I ordered one today so we'll see what happens. They also make one for the Walther PPS which is about the same size pistol but they only had (1) in black. I kinda like brown better. You can either call or order online. If you call you will probably get a voice mail response but they will call you back. The lady I talked to at Hume gave me this store and a buyaholster.com outfit. Their prices are a lot higher than gunnersalley. I paid $30.50 complete with shipping. Hume has a dealer locator on their site and you have to order or buy from a dealer.
