I was fortunate enough to find this absolutely mint condition S&W 586 blued 4" for a very reasonable price, I can't find any evidence the gun was even fired by whomever owned it. That minor problem will be corrected in short order this weekend at the range :)

In any event, she seemed too pretty to me to just wipe her down and put her in the safe, here's a couple pictures.

Wow, Bikemutt, what a sweetie! You should be fixed for 4" med frame .357 for what.. about 3 lifetmes?
Well not quite: I've got the 6" L-frames covered, the 4" ones just started, this is the first specimen, I am so grateful to have run across, and been able to purchase it.

I don't quite know what it is about L-frames but I just find them a great joy to shoot, and of course to admire, but I'd never be that shallow, not me, no siree ;)

Nice score Mutt! What's going on with you guys? All I hear about is the shortage of nice older Smiths on your side of the mountains and then you find something on a weekly basis.

He causes the shortages. :)

Nice find bikemutt. If I had stumbled upon that I think I would have sold a kidney to own it.

In all fairness, this was an online gun. I can tell you the journey has been long on this one. It was a 7 day auction I bid on early so it wouldn't get sold out locally. No one else bid so I won it. Then the seller sort of disappeared. So after a couple weeks I called him. We settled up right then on then phone. He shipped the gun and it arrived as my FFL went on vacation. FFL returns and the NICS decided I hadn't waited long enough so they delayed me for two days so I could stew about it. Today they proceeded me and I brought her home. I feel as if I've been waiting my entire life for this one :)

Everything comes to he who waits... Well worth the wait, eh, Bikemutt?

Nice.

Another good score by bikemutt.

No vacancy in your safe? Don't worry, I won't charge a dime for storage.;)

That is what I, call a Dirty Safe Queen. It is used when you buy it, and it is keep to only be shot a little.

I, have a nickle 29, that get's about a box a year because it is to nice to nice to be ran hard.

Great score ... I just got a 6" 586 no dash on a trade ... mine is slightly rougher with some minor holster wear, but is mechanically perfect, and is now the gun shoot the best with. Personal best thus far, is a 1" group off-hand (no supporting hand) at 10 yrds ... with a decent .357 Mag load. The SA trigger pull is a dream. I love it --- it is my favorite pistol!

Nice Job!! I have a 4" 586 no dash in like new condition. An absolute work of art by Smith and Wesson.

I wish I could meet the guys who built those guns back then. If I could only have one handgun, the 4" 586 may just be it!

I also have a 4" 19-4 in like new condition. What a pair.

Man, that's nice. I wish they still made 'em like that. I have a newer 686, I'd trade for one of those in an instant.

What a great find. I also have a 4-inch 586 no-dash, and they are wonderful to shoot. Yours is as nice as any I've ever seen for sale.

Dang Bikemutt, between those 6 inch ones you've got and this one, you're gonna get me looking for L frames now. Just when I think I'm getting ahead in the S&W wheel-gun game, someone's gotta post pics of something nice I have to have...

Yes, that's how it goes.

CajunBass is the one who gets me every time; I see some of his pictures and go straight to gunboker.com :banghead:
