I've been considering buying one of these beauties for some time now and today I took the plunge. It is a 995ts with the peep sights and compensator. I got it used. I got two boxes of blazer 9mm luger and two boxes of federal 9mm 115gr fmj. After a thorough cleaning and a few test fires I decided it was safe.

My first 5 shots were about 6 inches above the paper. I kept adjusting the rear sight down(the front sight is down as far as it will go.) and with the rear sight down as far as it will go, I'm shooting about a 3" group but it is still about 4" above my point of aim. Is there something I'm missing that I can do do get this thing on target?

To lower your group, you need to raise your front sight, not lower it.

^this. if both sights are elevation adjustable, set both to the middle and start from there. rear sight up/down, group goes up/down; front sight up/down, group goes DOWN/UP.

You can adjust the front sight by loosening the bolt on the front of sight mount. When adjust the front sight slide the hood up too. You want to keep the front sight in the center of the sight hood.

I'll try that. I'm used to rifles with fixed front sights. Thanks everyone and please pardon my ignorance.
