I had an LC9 but I sold it for a Shield. The Shield is everything the LC9 should have been. Much better trigger and no goofy LCI or mag release safety.

Kahr CM/PM are great guns with a light, smooth, long trigger pull.
The Shield has a really good sharp striker fired feel. Totally different feel, so you have to make that choice.
Be aware, In my opinion, the Shield is not really a pocket gun. I know some people do carry that way, but it is a lot more than I want in my pocket. Both are great guns that will suprise you with their accuracy.

What a curious statement to make. May I ask for a clarification?

Do you mean "when my wardrobe choice precludes concealing anything larger"?

Do you mean "when it's illegal and I really don't want anyone to know I'm breaking the law"?

Or do you just not know that an LCP is a pistol?

That seems like a little confrontational quip, quite honestly.
I thought it was a well known gun adage that a mouse gun is a "gun you carry when you can't carry a gun". Ergo, it is a pistol that you put in your pocket that takes up so little room and weighs so little that you forget it is there. In short, it's not the gun you would CHOOSE to take into a gunfight, but it is better than a sharp stick.

If i cannot conceal my Glock, the LCP goes in my pocket.

beretta, etc

thought the Sig 938 was gorgeous when saw it, but found out it has
digestive issues...several reports indicate some serious flaws with failures to extract which is a troublesome jam for a defensive sidearm...one rated it as a 50% failure rate with extraction!
The Beretta BU9 is not so pretty, but has reports of 100% reliable function and good accuracy...for $200 plus less than Sig P290...
sig more pretty..got more bells and whistles...but I am thinking the BU9
is all I need for a vest pocket pistol, light slim, reliable, accurate...particularly if get the new 8 round magazine and perhaps change sights over to night sights.

... 9lb trigger pull just ain't my thang

Now, the EMP 4-5lb trigger pull makes for a tempting addition to my collection but like to keep my purchases below $550.
