I just picked one of these up on a whim. I have always been very happy with the Glock 19, but thought this might be a little easier to carry. It came installed with the smallest of the backstraps. I absolutely love the way it feels. I picked up a couple of the 12 round mags that Glock is making for this pistol, which let you get all your fingers on the grip.

I took it out to the woods today and did a little shooting. I fired 50 rounds of Winchester Range 124g +P+, 100 rounds of Speer Gold Dots 124g, and 100 rounds of Federal Hydroshocks. Absolutely no stoppages. I could not see any difference in accuracy compared to the G19, which surprised me considering the shorter sight radius.

Overall, I think I am going to like this little pistol a lot.

It's a sweet shooter:) At the end of the day, would I pack the. 45? The. 357? Nope, the 26 is just a hellova gun:)

I think the 26 is my favorite gun. It shoots so well and carries great. I competed with mine this last year just to change things up and shoot my carry gun instead of the 34. I beat everyone quite handily. It's a really amazing shooter. I like the Gen 4 too.

I also think it's my favorite long range shooter. We have a steel plate at 200 yards that is fun to shoot.

Enjoy.

I also carry the G4 Glock 26. You're right - a heck of a shooter! Love my gen 3 Glock 26 as well, but the G4 fits my hand just a lil bit better. No backstrap installed on mine..

I just got a Gen 3 G26 about 2 weeks ago (my first and to-date only Glock). I'm still in the honeymoon period, but I could also see it securing a place as my one and only if such conditions were ever forced on me. I handled the Gen 3 and Gen 4 but thought the Gen 3 grip texture was more agreeable to my hand, and it was $50 cheaper.

It was interesting to me in that I was trying it out at 25 ft on 1-in square target pasters and was having trouble keeping shooting as tightly as I can with other guns under deliberate target fire, but if I got frustrated and hastily fired, they went EXACTLY where I wanted. I guess I've just got some trigger time to put in since I'm new to Glock, but it was very encouraging to see that my faster and arguably more "instinctual" shooting was dead on. That's a great quality for a carry piece. Also just got some 12-rounders yesterday, I'll see how getting the pinky on there helps.

All Glocks are very sound, excellent firearms. Love my G4 G19. For some odd reason never really warmed up to the G4 G26. Decided to sell it in favor of my XD40sc.

Anyway, congrats!
