The very hypocritical Dianne Feinsten

Elitists always hold themselves above the law. How many politicians get caught not paying taxes or having guns where prohibited? They make laws to apply to Plebeians like us, not the elite.

The hypocrisy goes even further when you consider that in her 1995 60 Minutes interview she issued the "Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them in!" statement.

All true, all known. She would argue that we don't need bodyguards with guns or CCW because we're not celebrities. And she's not rational about guns, having been the person to find Harvey Milk assassinated.

She's old, and we'll win in the end. Hopefully this will be her last hurrah.

If we keep our Senators flooded with complaints about her proposed AWB and remind them that the backlash to support for her misguided proposal will pale in comparison to the 1994 AWB backlash we just might thwart her.

Call her our on it publicly, especially to your local congressmen. Let them know that you won't tolerate hypocrisy. Some may shrug it off but others will be wary. Never underestimate a congressman's desire to eat their own to prevent a successor.

Di Fi was on Faux Snews Sunday this morning with Chris Wallace. They blabbed a bit about the Fiscal Cliff stuff before DiFi was asked about her gun ban proposals.
She ranted, as usual, about "assault weapons" not being used for hunting -- despite the fact that people HAVE taken deer with them and also varmints. A republican opponent was on to balance her opinion out (who claimed he had an AR-15) but, really, the whole thing was pretty tepid and Wallace was not very inquisitive about just how it was really supposed to work. I would have pointed out the Virginia Tech shooter, Cho, killed more people with two handguns than Adam Lanza did, allegedly with an AR.

She isn't the only hypocrite.

Cleveland Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich, who is drafting legislation to ban civilian ownership of handguns, kept a pistol in his house after police learned of a Mafia plot to kill him during his tumultous stint as Cleveland's mayor during the 1970s.

Now seeking the presidency, Kucinich was among five Democratic candidates who admitted during a Thursday night presidential debate that they'd kept guns in their houses during their adulthoods.

I don't think Feinstein was invited onto Fox Sunday to rant about here gun control legislation. She is on the Senate Appropriations Committee. It's a two for one deal for Fox. That debate will be coming after she submits the bills for consideration by the House and Senate. Then the talk will be 100% about guns.

Grassman, I'm sure you were shocked to discover this.....or not. Gun control is about power, not safety.

Oh, is that where she got her cred? I'd always wondered. Seems a lot of politicians find fame climbing over a celebrity's body :scrutiny:. I'm suprised she talked about guns on the air at all. I would assume someone as ignorant of firearms as she would be very wary of getting into a recorded conversation with an opponent who knew what they were talking about. But as we see too often even here on the forums, "owning an AR" doesn't necessarily qualify anyone to comment on squat about guns.

Anyone read the article about Piers Morgan shooting his "45 magnum*" today?:D

*Smatguys; I assume there is some obscure cartridge that is in fact called the "45 Magnum." I will heartily (and without support) disagree with anyone who doesn't believe this is simply Piers not knowing what the heck he's talking about ;)

DiFi actually is quite smart in how she presents herself and how she pushes her pet causes.

It's Carolyn McCarthy who's so dim she's not fit to man the drive through window of a Taco Bell, let alone serve as an elected official.

Not so much. Oh she's a wiley politician all right. On Faux Snews Sunday with Chris Wallace yesterday she was talking about her proposed ban and claimed that ARs were not used for hunting :what: and were not even good for self-defense. :what: This shows ignorance which isn't "smarts" in my book. The way she talks about these guns "spewing" bullets (and IIRC she used that phrase too) makes me wonder just what she thinks she knows.
The AR is NOT accurate? She said that. The AR-15 is well-known to be a very accurate rifle.
Need I go on?

Oh yeah, she's presenting her case....by means of lies. She sounds soooooo sincere. :barf:

Just posted Justin's video link to my facebook. I have 2 good friends in California. I also requested another friend with California contacts share this with his contacts there.

You know, in the spirit of "know thine enemy", I just reread her bio on wiki. I never new the woman was born Jewish, but she was and if she can ignore the history to her people of what she proposes, then I guess she really is blind and deaf.

And BTW, Wiki lists her as being worth 29M in 2002, climbing to 50M by 2005. It really does pay to be a politician, doesn't it?
