I usually avoid Remington ammo but found a few boxes of the green box 45 ball ammo. Is their Ammo any good? Usually shoot Speer lawman but can't find any.

Remington 230 gr fmj

I have found nothing wrong with Remington UMC for cheap plinking/practice ammo. It is all I buy because I can get it fairly cheap.

what is green box to you? the green/white UMC or the green/yellow Express? I shoot both and the Express is my carry ammo.

Green white umc. Is 30 a box good?
during the panic of 08 I stupped to my all time low and paid $26.00 for WWB .380acp

back in the spring of 2012 I bought 8 boxes of Herter's select for $12.00 (a box shipped) and latter I paid $22.00 (a box shipped) for a case of Remington Express both .380acp FMJ, it was only after I hit my low that I got serious about buying ammo on sale.

I wouldn't pay that for UMC but then I don't have to either, be smart and learn.

Remington UMC is dirty junk ammo. I don't even buy it on sale, and now that its hard to get, I don't have to.

At that price, no. But, you may not get another chance for awhile. If you've no ammo, buy it. If you're just using it for range use, I wouldn't bother. It's gunky, inconsistent, and I've had it jam several "injammable" firearms.:barf:

UMC? yeah it's junk. It's right up there for me with Golden Bullets in terms of its crappiness.

That said, in today's environment, I would still buy it and shoot it at the range. Just don't expect anything special.
