Would this weapon make for an everyday ccw?
I carry a KAHR CW45 now. But I prefer the 1911 style weapons.

This isn't a criticism, just curious, when you say, "100% reliable", how many hundreds of rounds are you basing that on?Really nicely made, 100% reliable and quite accurate.
As far as I know, Ruger does not make a Commander. Colt does. The Ruger SR1911 is made in a Commander-like version, the SR1911CMD.
That OWB and the Ruger make a real sweet rig!
I wasn't aware that most people weren't. While I usually write Commander length, I seem to be in the minority. I do object to folks calling 4" 1911s CommandersSorry but I'm unaware that 4 1/4 " 1911s are now being called Commanders generically. I call my 16" AR "M4 profile." But yeah, I call all tissues Kleenex.

What am I missing, is that a bobbed Ruger SR1911 Cmd? or a different model?
I just picked up a 9mm Combat Commander I plan having made into a 9x23 Win. gun for carry.
Nickb45,
What kind of wood are those grips made out of, and you showing a single pair, or two different sets? The wood on the right side is beautiful.
