For the people who own a CW45 or any other .45 acp Kahr pistol.
There are a few 1911 magazines on the market that will work (with no modification) with the .45 Kahr Pistols. Some mags will require filing down of the top edges on the magazine. If you compare a 1911 magazine to a Kahr mag the main difference is the top edge is lower on the Kahr mag. Some slight filing and any 1911 mag should fit. I inserted a Taurus 1911 mag and the top edges kept the slide from going all the way forward...put a promag in and it worked like a factory mag.
I have bought a total of 3 Promag 1911 (two 8rnd one 16rnd) magazines that have worked without a hitch in my Kahr CW45. These are the only ones I know of FOR SURE that will work with no modification needed. All of mine have worked flawlessly in the CW45.
Just thought I would post this to let anyone who owns a Kahr .45 pistol know that there are more magazine options available and can be had way cheaper that Kahr mags (they're WAY too expensive!)
