Not everyone can afford to just buy another gun. If I had one 1911 and needed a rail, I'd rather use this and not get into the 1911 cool kids club than spend another $800-$1500 on a new one.

Selling guns is silly. No one said you couldn't sell your rail-less 1911.
Lol, doesn't matter how old you get, having the newest action figure just feels good. It's a primal thing in all of us, I believe. My Wife use to ask me when I bought something that seemed a little too expensive,
"Are you buying that because you need it, or just to impress the other kids at the range".
Does that feel a lot more thick in your hands compared to standard 1911 grips?Got mine about a week ago.
Well researched.
Well made.
Fits perfect.
Handles fine.
Inexpensive.
Right interesting.
For about what a inexpensive set of 1911 grips cost the 1911 can be equipped with a rail.
Personally I'm a big fan of lasers and laser/lights on defense guns.
For years my 1911 pistols have mostly been taking up safe space while the guns with lasers and laser/lights mounted on the rails do the work.
Now the 1911 can get out of the safe and be useful.
If I get tired of it, removing it would take about three minutes.
Good observation. I wonder the same now.Have to wonder why they didnt incorporate Plunger Tube support.
A little thicker yes but not as thick as a normal double stack 9mm pistol.Does that feel a lot more thick in your hands compared to standard 1911 grips?

Good idea. Can you show us the bottom view of that mounted on your 1911 compared to the bottom view of a 1911 with standard grip panels?
And than can you remove that rail in about three minutes thereby restoring the gun to the exact condition it was before the rail was installed? You can have a rails installed on you 1911 if it doesn't come with one, without turning it into whatever that is. And do it for very little money
Maybe, but I suspect it would cost more than $50.I wonder If I can get one of the custom grip makers out there to do me a pair in Stag, MOP, or Ivory
When the subject came up on Glock Talk, in December, the owner/representative of Recover Tactical entered the thread and answered questions.I wonder if they'll make any other models.
