I didn't leave it there, but I would probably want it. If the owner doesn't show up in a week, let me know and I'll start guessing what it is.

^LOL

I was out there in the rain Sunday. But i havent noticed that Ive lost anything yet..Can you give us hints?! :)

What day did you find it? dang maybe i need to look at my stuff to make sure.

Sunday afternoon on the 50 yd.

So far no one has emailed / texted / called / carrier pigeoned about it. I put it here, Armslist and Craigslist

That's where I was Sunday morning. About the 4th or 5th lane from the right. Still cant think of anything Im missing, but I hadnt really looked either. Tell me it wasnt in the 4th or 5th lane and I wont have to worry about it:)

Oh yea, TenD, if we're ever out there at the same time here's how you know-
Im the goofy guy crawling around on my hands and knees looking for brass more than shooting.

Are we related? I'm the one catching it in my hat while the family and friends are shooting.

Must of been that huge wad of $100 bills I left behind....

Wish someone would leave me a few of those!

I'm just about done with Swan Creek. Too many brass chasers out there. I'm sick and tired of telling non-shooters "that's mine" as soon as the cases hit the ground. Going to try Skyline next time even thought it's farther. If that doesn't work, it's back to finding the right club. I've just plain had enough....

Yes, the time before last, their were people sitting in their cars waiting for people to stop shooting, just so they could scrounge the brass. I have a feeling this was one guys primary source of income.

I like Skyline, hardly anyone there the last few times I went, but it's always windy as hell up there.

I believe you're right about that. He had his wife and kid(s) there last weekend. Nice enough guy and keeps the range clean as well. Used to be tons of steel and 22 cases out there to step on. He picks pretty much everything up.

hey Ten,
There's a pistol club at Sharon Johnston. Im pretty sure that's the name of the land out Winchester rd I believe. I was thinking hard about it, the guy said I could chrono my loads and such. Seems well ran. No centerfire rifle though.:(

Check your pockets.

Now I'm thinking it's a nice folding knife.

I always have mine out at the range to cut the tape on my boxes of reloads.
But sadly I've never been in AL.

Whatever it is, the OP is a pretty good guy to go to this effort to return it.

Put a "FOUND" notice on the corkboard. They'll turn up. And when you return the item, you must let us know what it was. I wasn't my ten pound bar of gold, was it? Good THR job.

I'll do that. Just not sure when I'll get out there again.

It's a pocket knife. Very nice one similar to what my grandfather likes, and has enough wear on it for me to think it might mean something to someone.

Potatohead, if you or anyone else is headed to Swan Creek anytime soon, would you mind putting something out there for me? I'll hook you up via PM with my contact info.

Thanks!

Went to Swan Creek once. No one there. Pulled up and noticed an ammo box a few tables over. Went and got it and checked inside. Someone was using it as a range bag. Targets folded up, tools, ammo, and a GLOCK! Rummiging around and found a phone number. Started dialing as a car came speeding in. Was a Kid and his buddy. He had borrowed Dad's gun to shoot and they left it there! He was sweating bullets and scared when I asked if he was looking for the ammo box ;)

Note to self always check what you pack up.

Yep. Left my SLR digital camera sitting on my tool box on my pickup at a job site a few days ago. Drove off with it still on there.... drove about 15 miles and pulled into a store parking lot. Someone goes.... is that camera bolted onto your tool box? :D I was quite relieved and this isn't the first time such a thing happened.
