I agree with Hunter on the `91 series. I have one also and its a great shooter and reliable. One you can have years from now and still have fun with without worrying about making a safe queen.
I`ve heard varying reports on the MagAfe & Glaser rounds, enough for me to just load with hp`s that I can afford to run through for reliable function and use for defense.
It would make me leary also to buying it. I`d be afraid that more was tinkered with and it could end up costing you more to get it back in stock shape.
I`d have to go with Jackal ... my FFL just had a trade in of a 586 that the previous owner had sitting in his safe for the past 20 years. It sure felt nice to handle even though I didn`t get a chance to fire it... yet :D
I`ll have to wait till after the holidays to see what he wants for it.
Tuner you better make sure you keep them beauties locked away if Old Fuff ever comes a callin`. He might just offer a couple of Collies for `em and you know you`d have a hard time refusin.
I always take my CCW Glock 27, one of my 1911`s and alternate between .38 snubs and 9MM shooters. The .480 Ruger gets a workout now & then but that gets a little expensive. Haven`t quite gotten around to doing any reloading for it but saved a stack of the brass ready to go.
Thanks for the tips Farris. I have a stock I`m about ready to redo for an 1891 Argentine and I`m going to go along with your method. By the way ... great looking job you did.
Nice collections guys and thanks for sharing them with us but did you have to start a craving so close to christmas! :what: Noww... who can I cross off my list so I have a few extra bucks to spend LOL
