Wow, that's a lot of stuff to consider. I am somewhat irritated that I gotta tinker around with that much stuff. Would it really cost Crosman that much more to do it right? Where did I get steel washers and replacement seals? And I are the replacement seals any better. Is this something I will...
This is a target my son and I shot this afternoon. He shot at the Orange square with and x in it on the left, and I shot the one one the right. Pay no attention to the numbering, the point is that you can see the pellets are just landing all over the place. Note: the image needs to be rotated 90...
I have only shot the Crosman Premium hollow point, as I am attempting to shoot squirrels.
I saw a well done YouTube video today showing a test with different pellets in a Benjamin Trail NP. It was remarkable how much difference pellets make.
I just shot the gun again and just sprayed pellets...
My son bought a new break barrel Titan .22 caliber that comes with a 4x32 scope. We are having problems getting shots to group at abut 25 yards. Generally, we can get a couple of shots in about a 1 1/2' group, but then there will be a couple shot several inches away. We are shooting Crossman...
So how do you determine what the proper amount of jump is for any particular rifle? I thought that was the beauty of the Hornady OAL gauge (or a similar device) was that it could determine the jump for a specific rifle and a specific bullet.
Can you describe the process and tools you use for...
I just bought a Hornady OAL gauge and a set of bullet comparators. I attempted to use them for the first time today and I am a little bewildered at the results. I used two different bullets and took 10 measurements using each bullet. I got a divergence (difference between longest and shortest...
( I could only attach one thumbnail at a time. Here is another one)
This group is shot with Hornady 117 gr SST.
Again, a couple of good shots, but never got three to group, except for 13, 14, 15.
Btw, I measured all the fired cases and none of them need resizing according to my Wilson case gauge.
All,
I got my gun out of the shop. The gunsmith deburred the firing pin and tightened the scope base.
I shot about 30 rounds of factory Hornady ammo on Monday. I attached the results.
I think these are the 90 gr GMX. Shots 4,5,6 were pretty good. Not so much for the rest. I was...
Clint, et al
I watched this video several times

This video and your comments above indicate that a person should resize the brass to fit a specific rifle chamber, i.e., the one in the gun you are reloading for. This video indicates that a cartridge that is...
Clint,
I have noticed the variance in the different bullets of the same weight. Interesting. That said, I was seating the Hornady bullets exactly to the depth of the factory loads. The bullets have a cannulure (sp) so it was easy to visually to see how much to seat the bullet.
I have ordered...
I took the rifle to the store where I bought it, as they have an on-site gunsmith. I should know something in about two weeks.
Something I noticed tonight while I was pulling all of my bullets was that the Hornady 117 gr SST were seated very deep into the neck, moreso than the Sierra bullets...
I measured my deck height of my Lee shell holder. It is .122 That said, it would seem that using a Lee shell holder with Lee dies would be appropriate. Regardless, I measured all of my cases after I pulled the bullets. I believe I have "sized too much" as several suggested as my cases were about...
