Steyr Prohunter in 270 Win is a freezer filler in Alabama.

When you sight it in, rest it just ahead of the magazine, about where your forward hand would be. I have an sbs .270 blue barrel that shoots .4" with factory ammo. Steyr makes good rifles, and that sbs tang safety is a joy.

I have no experience with that model of Steyr, but it has the same action and barrel as both my Steyr Pro Hunters, and they are really sweet rifles. I have shot sub 1/2" groups with my 270 using factory ammo. The 3-position tang safety just can't be beat.
