Benelli Super Nova, 12 guage. Been using it for years. Winchester Longbeard 3”, #4 turkey loads. Undertaker choke. Seems to work ok for me.

Did you use Pyrodex? That'd be enough to turn anybody off a flintlock. You need real BP.
