Is my 442 barrel stripped?! Please help

Last 442 i saw in a display case had the same ring. I was looking to buy one at the time and I ended buying a Beretta Nano instead, because I decided I didn't want to take a chance on it.

    Would you call the cops?

If I call and he gets arrested that's on him, because he chose to carry illegally. If I don't call, and he guns somebody down then that's on me because I saw something wrong and failed to act on it. So, I would call because that's the outcome I'd have an easier time sleeping with.

    .22LR v. .25

Ballistics By The Inch (http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/) has chrono tests for various .25 ACP rounds from a Beretta 950 Jetfire and various .22 LR rounds from a Beretta 21A. Taking the numbers and calculating power factor and muzzle energy, it's clear that .25 ACP is pretty much equal to the...

    Which .38 Snub

Never owned a Charter, but I've good experiences with Smith, Ruger and Taurus snubs. I've seen a lot of negative things about Taurus, but I've owned a 650 for over five years now without a problem. I have no way to confirm it, but I suspect that their small frame .38 and .357 five shooters are...

Tex Grebner : SERPA : Bullets to the leg

The 100% sure way to never have an ND is to never handle a firearm. Once you make the choice to handle one, it basically comes down to risk management and how much risk you're willing to accept. Everybody is different and I've seen people that carry with an empty chamber and safety on, and...

    Woman's side arm: 3" GP-100 357 or 2.5" Akaskan 45 Colt?

GP101? Do mean an SP101 or GP100? Either way, that would be my choice unless she intends to get into reloading.

    Anybody use a LaserMax?

I have one in my Glock 36. I do most of my shooting outdoors during the day, so I honestly don't use the laser very much for live fire. However, it's in my gun whenever I shoot and seems to be holding up well. I verified that it shoots to point of aim. At most reasonable handgun distances...

    Knife fighting techniques.

There's a free online video series on tactical knife skills here It's very basic, covering: selecting knives, maintaining knives and some simple knife fighting techniques. It's geared more towards the non-martial artist who may need to use a knife in self-defense. To build on those basics...

Just bought Kahr. What to look out for?

The main thing you have to look out for is more Kahrs. They have a nasty habit of popping up when you least expect it and the next thing you know you're trying to explain to your SO why the bank account is empty.

Civilian Back-up gun, odds you will ever use it?

Lance Thomas used multiple handguns three separate times, so it has happened. One of those times he even shot three handguns empty.

NEVER use 147 gr AMMO in a 9mm pistol?

I've shot 147 grain JHPs from several different manufacturers through several different autoloaders over the years and never had an issue. There is some controversy over how well it actually works as self-defense load. However, I chock that up mainly to the fact that the 147 Grain 9mm was...

What is your favorite CCW gun

S&W 4506-1 It's big, heavy, easy to shoot and makes large holes in people. Despite it's size, though, the grip is flat and not terribly thick making it easy to conceal. Other nice features include an extremely short trigger reset and good corrosion resistance.
