I have seen many pictures of your pistols, and finally have one of my own to post:

Awesome gun and pic!

I have five 92 variants, and I plan to buy a couple more. My 92Fs is my concealed carry gun. :D

I bought a 92FS because I needed a 9mm with cheaper mags than my EAA Witness P and couldn't use a .45 for what I needed it for.

I've considered trading for a 1911 but I always stop and think to myself.. "No, I like this pistol too much to sell or trade it. It's accurate,, ammo is afforadable, has never malfunctioned, I can walk in my shots to 150 meters..." So I still have it, still love it, and will probably hate myself if I ever get rid of it.

I can't speak for the M9, but my 92FS (inox italy) has had zero FTE/FTF in a couple thousand rounds. :)

deafdave,

I have put 500 to 600 rounds through mine so far. Some of it was from a few forgotten boxes of hand loads a friend gave me more than fifteen years ago that I found at the bottom of the safe.

No failures so far.

I've shot several hundred through mine so far and had only one FTE in the first or second mag shot.

Tangentially related, but am I the only one who has to aim slightly up with my 92FS to get it to shoot straight? If I align the three dots perfectly my gun does a mean imitation of an excavator.

I do not have the three dot sights. Mine are the post and dot military style. (see figure C) I line them up and cover the center of the target, and pretty much hit where I am aiming. My groups could improve, but it is not the pistol's fault. My eyes are a lot older than they were, and I had to make some adjustments in how I line up. I could sure use more practice too.

I posted this picture before, but it is the target from the first magazine out of my pistol. I was shooting at 25 feet, and the black is 4 1/2" in diameter. The first shot is low due to my failure to pull the first DA shot smoothly. The rest were nicely grouped for the first fifteen rounds out of a new pistol:
