Our Kahr would drop the magazine very 10-20 rounds in addition to jamming from time to time. Way too much $$$ for that kind of trouble - especially in a carry gun. Sold it, bought an XD-40 subcompact and never looked back. Easy to conceal, NEVER jams...:)

Thanks, we did try that - the second mag didn't drop out until the third shot. My husband called Kahr and they're sending a new mag catch to try. Otherwise they said they'd pay for the shipping back to them to repair. So we'll see. They seemed very willing to help, unlike Sportsmans Warehouse...

OK I took the PT145 to the range today after thoroughly cleaning it (and it WAS dirty) and it fired great. The 88th round was an FTE - the next 20 went fine! I'm one happy lady now. Thanks for the tips.:)

Cleaned the gun today wow - thanks for all of the replies. I'm quite encouraged that it's the lack of cleaning and not the gun. I cleaned it real good today and it was real dirty and had gunky stuff on the slides so it seems more than likely that that's the problem. I hope to get to the range...
