I would get which ever one still uses lacquer. Those rounds don't rust like the new polymer rounds or corrode like silver bear in humid areas. I would go with brown bear if I was buying more .223.
Prvi makes pretty good ammo. It the box says m193 it is probably up to or very close to the specs. But should you choose to handload it you might have to get rid of the crimp on the primer.
Shoot the silver bear it works fine in my guns. No signs of excess wear either.
And about the whole lacquer melts idea, why is it always brought up. To anyone that is interested, try and get the lacquer to melt. Use a gas stove, a lighter, anything hot...if you get it to melt I would like to...
If this thing comes with the Aimpoint and you haven't bought it yet something is wrong with you. Even if you bought it and decided you hated the paint it will come off.
If it doesn't come with the Aimpoint you may want to keep looking, however you will have a hard time finding a deal right now.
The gander mountain near me always has ammo, just not the right price. I don't mean to say that the prices are just a few dollars more, I mean $42.99 for a box of .308 rem core-lokt or $38.99 for .30-30 core-lokt.
The prices are outrageous. It's amazing they haven't run out of business.
Steel cases aren't very hard on the chamber and extractor. There are people on here that have shot thousands of rounds or steel case ammo in ar's with no problems. I believe mgshaggy is a member here who has shot a lot of wolf through m16's and the like.
In any event, don't worry about steel...
Doubt it. Just because DD is making a rifle now doesn't mean that RRA will lose much, if any business. There are so many makers of AR's that one more isn't going to change a thing.
Alright, so let the die contact the shell holder then screw it in another 1/8 or 1/4 turn...
That should fix it. I know that all of my cases are trimmed to the right length and that the bullet is not too deep so we can rule those out.
If I have any problems next time I load some up I will...
On some of my .308 win reloads the bolt is hard to close. Then on others from the same "lot" of loads it will close very easily. I am using an RCBS full length sizing die and have it screwed in until the the bottom touches the shell holder. All of the cases were trimmed and and all bullets were...
It isn't over yet, but I don't know why. I have seen more AR's and AR parts at gunshows than ever. I saw a few less AK's than normal but they were still there. The mark up was ridiculous and no one bought them so I am not sure what the problem is.
So you aren't lazy becaues you only use it during certain events, right? I guess I am lazy because I use my sling at different times than you. Next time you have a joke to tell like the one above use one of these,;):D:).
