Hey all.

Just picked up a 200 round case of Winchester white box 7.62/.308 from the local shop. Had 'em on sale for $140.00.

Opened up a few of the boxes of ammo, and quite a few of the rounds appear discolored/tarnished in spots. It looks almost like paint spray on some of the brass. Don't see any corrosion or any signs of overall poor condition, just some dark spots on the outer brass. I don't want to run bad ammo through my brand new M1A, and was wondering if I should return the case. Is discoloration on the brass indicative of any other issues? Should I not run it through the rifle?

Thanks, as always, for all your help.

I have bought Winchester ammo with the same "problem". It shot fine so I wouldn't worry about it. It is just a little tarnishing on the brass.
