    Creative solutions to die storage

Storing the Lee in the round containers they came in and the Dillon, made some holders out of cedar and a large bolt. I turned them down in my lathe. be

    Warranty

The problem is the 3 hole or 4 hole turrets cost more to ship back for warranty than to buy new ones. I'd just wait for Midway or someone to run them on sale and buy a new one. I had the same problem, the 3 hole turret was machined off to one side. It wasn't but a few thou. but would cost more...

    Rossi 38 Snubbie. Opinions

I've carried (and shot) a model 68 snub for years without a glitch. It likes everything I feed it except 148gr lead wadutters for some reason. I trust mine. be

    Powder stored in hot garage

I stored some for 8 years in a shed in Alabama and had one container go bad. It had a very acidic smell to it and when I disposed of it wouldn't hardly burn. Try the smell test. be

Anyone have a Ruger Super Redhawk "Alaskan" in .45 Colt/.454 Casull?

While it's fun to shoot, I can't keep scope caps on my SRH 7.5. I'd hate to think what full house loads would kick like with the shorter barrel. I doubt you will burn all the powder with it. be

freakshow10mm That's what I was thinking. I remember reading somewhere that w748 was developed along with the 308. be

    Taurus Judge: What's the Verdict?

Hollowdweller, I have no problem keeping it on paper at 25 yards, now, which ring, well thats a little different. I'm shooting a fairly hot 45 colt reload with a 250gr cast bullet. I have some gold dots but haven't shot them from it yet. It's not a target gun and I didn't buy it thinking it was. be

    Taurus Judge: What's the Verdict?

Re: the boxotruth article. If you load a shot shells to a particular lead load and then lighten the lead, you will NOT get good performance because you cannot lighten the powder load. I posted an article from the American Rifleman website that seemed to be a good read favorable to the gun with...

    Taurus Judge: What's the Verdict?

I've had one since Feb. and have really enjoyed mine. I live on the river so it does double duty home protection and snake gun as we have lots of no-shoulders around. I'm sure someone will come along and rain on our sunshine soon as it seems to be a very devisive topic. be

    cracked cases

You do need to clean your chambers well afterwards as it leaves a corresponding deposit in the chamber when this happens. be

    Unique not dispensing uniformly

Its a flake powder. It's not very clean burning either. I think its the nature of the beast. Someone will come along shortly and correct me. :-)

    Taurus 45/410 good for a carry/home defense

I have one. I have enjoyed shooting it. It is not the most accurate you can buy, but then, its a short barrel self defense gun. I'm sure someone will cry bs, but I can put it on paper freehand at 25 yds with the 45colt and 000 buck is pretty bad news anywhere 15yds or closer. The #6 or smaller...
