    CZ-75B vs Sig P226

I prefer cz for a laundry list of personal reasons but sig makes great guns too. you already have the tough part over with and that is having good taste.

    9mm vs .40

If I was really worried I would shoot nothing smaller than a .357 mag. but 9 and 45 is what you should be looking for. 40 is fine i suppose but it is expensive. 9 and 45 have been through several wars and continue to be to this day. there is 9 or 45 in most gun owning homes out there in case you...

With of this 9mm loads would you use for home defense

gold dots in 124gr. +p does not make that huge a difference if you can't get them. I would get the remingtons 2nd. followed by magtech and then lastly the winchester.

    bersa

bersa makes a cherry of a .380 even if you paid more you would still be happy. they have great relaibility, accuracy and triggers. regardless of what you do buy the ammo at least. just be aware that you will not be able to probably find a lot of ammo to replace it. good luck and enjoy...

    gunsmith, practice, ergonomics?

Lone H Yeah I have the beavertail with a bump and Have I high grip. That is the problem. When I do not concentrate on applying pressure lower on the safety where the bump is I get the problem. It really seems like a larger bump would take care of the problem. It is just that it looks like...

    gunsmith, practice, ergonomics?

The safety always disengages when I try. Good Idea on the thinner grips. I have rubber hogue wraparounds with finger grooves. Those alone really lengthen it from front to back. I love the control given by the grips but I like your idea about thinner grips. thanks for the input.

    gunsmith, practice, ergonomics?

the grip safety on my 1911 sometimes does not fully disengage. I then put way too much pressure on the trigger, increase my my grip pressure and then the safety disengages and the shot fires (usually no where near where i initially intended). Before I diagnosed the problem, I just thought my...

    1911 tactical rail scope mount?

Does anyone have sources for a scope mount that would fit a 1911 by attaching to the tactical rail under the barrel. Sig makes one for the mosquito and Brugger and Thommet makes one for the HK USP that is a quad rail design. This could be a hella nitch for somebody to fill. I would just...

i think I asked this same question a while back. I think the response was yes but it will stick out the bottom. don't hold me to that memory fades.

I got birchwood/casey sheath on my scope lense

yep that is what is on the wipes. the wipes are nice because they come out clean. not like applying alcohol to an old lense cloth. I bought a variety of lense cleaning products and they basically all contained alcohol and cost next to nothing. I have alcohol around the house but it is about...

I got birchwood/casey sheath on my scope lense

its a Nikon Monarch. Truly a great device. I would highly reccomend them to anyone not wanting to spend a mint on optics. When I bought it I had the burris, the luepold and the nikon side by side. Went with the nikon. buddy bought the burris. I think the burris may have captured a pinch more...

I got birchwood/casey sheath on my scope lense

thanks! I will have to run out to wally world or a pharmacy when I dry off. I was worried about the coatings on the glass but what you say makes sense. I was just too in shock that I did something so bone headed to see. I hate to use alcohol but at least it is a polar solvent and probably...
