    Thanks a lot. It was my grandfather's gun. He bought it used in the 50's. Then my father got it when he passed and my dad plans on giving it to me when my pistol permit clears. Thanks again.

    Mosin Nagant 91/30 Advice

    You will like the mosin. The only ammo I have had problems with is the Czeck silver tips. Cleaned it pretty good and still those silver tips make me struggle to open the bolt. Barnaul, brown bear and Polish surplus all work great.

    quick question, if you do have a pump, how many shells should you put in it? I only ask because my dad always told me not to leave springs under tension for that long. Something like a hd shotgun might sit for a long time, or do you unload and load it every day?
