Am I a wuss? AK kicks too hard. (Vepr 7.62x39)

The guy with the life jacket on looks like he stores a few extra rounds in his lower jaw pocket. LOL

    Browning SA-22

I own 3 of the Miroku Brownings and 1 Norinco clone. The Mirokus don't lose anything to the Belgian ones. Mine are at least as nice and in fact have much nicer wood and finish. All 4 are perfect in fit and function and that Norinco, while not as nicely finished is as good a shooter as any I've...

    Henry H011: Buyer's beware

I agree, junk. That's what made in America gets you now. Just Like Chevrolet. Go with the Italian Uberti for a well made gun.

    The Marlin 39 Club

Maybe the cartridge guide spring missing or broken. Top inside receiver above the chamber. Guides the bullet nose into the chamber. See a schematic on Brownells web site. HTH

    a few unexpected items at a auction,one trapdoor 45-70

Sounds a bit like the other guy was a shill bidder. Tried to drive up the price and you didn't fall for it. Very common practice. I've known auction houses that had shills on the payroll and only bid when signaled to by the auctioneer. Good for you not getting caught up the excitement.

Question on best ammo for sig522/// 47 views.no comment. Thanks guys.

I already answered but as to your question about auto match. Both of my 522s handled the auto match very well. Only shot about 100 rounds of through each of them but it was flawless. YMMV

Question on best ammo for sig522/// 47 views.no comment. Thanks guys.

I have 2 of the 522s and I have never had any malfunctions with the several brands I've tried. Mini-Mags, AE Hi-Vel 38gr, CCT tactical, Thunderbolts, CCI Standard, (yes standard = zero malfunctions) All in all they are the most dependable semi auto .22 I've ever shot.

Are there really 'best bargains' in inexpensive pistols?

Canik/Tristar. Tristar imports some Canik pistols, made in Turkey. Canik 55 Stingray imported by Century is my top pick. All steel, adjustable sights, ambi-controls, magaziness made by Mecgar. Greatshooters, accurate and dependable Inexpensive but not cheap.

Just a picture of "my" Hawken

I still have mine I made from a kit in 1972. I was in college at the time. I paid right at $100 for the kit at Gander mtn mail order. Lots of work but I'm still proud of it.

    Browning BL-22 thoughts

I checked my Bl-22, 3 pulls, with an electronic gauge, they gauged 4.86, 5.0, 4.88. Mine is 3 months old, Gr II FLD Octagon. YMMV. I'm happy with mine.

    Browning BL-22 thoughts

I have several .22 levers, Marlin 39A, Marlin 97 CL, Winchester 9422, Henry Golden Boy and my newest, a Browning BL-22 Grade II FLD Octagon. The Browning is by far the best made and finished of the batch. It has a 24" Octagon barrel and beautiful wood. With the 24" octagonal barrel, it's more...
