    Maybe one day Colt will loose their military contract, and then they'll take a hard look at the civilian market. I would like to see them succeed with both.

    Why do so many people complain about magazine disconnects?

    To the contrary, one may also argue that during a struggle for the gun, the officer tried to fire a shot, but couldn't because the magazine was accidentally dropped rendering the gun useless.

    The registration of firearms is for one thing only! When the government bans guns, they know who to come after for confiscation. The thugs won't register, so they'll keep their guns.

    I think Taurus ruined the classic beauty of the 1911 with the choppy lines and ugly checkering. That 's enough to keep me away regardless of how good it performs. I have different guns for different reasons, but I take pride in a classic 1911, and the Taurus doesn't do it for me. UGLY!

    Some people are just plain stupid

    There's some jerk on 1911 forum selling Winchester large pistol primers for $200 for 1000. There's nothing wrong with people stocking up on supplies, but when someone buys up all the stock, and then tries to get rich, that irritates me!
