Ive put Limbsavers on all my guns, from my 20 ga.O/U to my .375 H&H, I swear by them...my friend has a .270 just like my Ruger, with out the Limbsaver...atleast till he shot mine, he bought one. I think they work great. Click-bang

thanks parolebear, I shoot alot...practice makes perfect!!! thanks for your input, it's worth more then 2 cents... I'm still looking for quick detach scope rings. The gun show is coming...(much better then the circus coming to town!!) I'll make the rounds there, I hope to score on a new scope too.

Thank you gentlmen for your replies...I was looking at the lower power Leupold, I think that may be my best choice in the VX3. any idea's on where to get the detachable rings for a Ruger???? any further leads would be appreciated. Shoot straight... Click-bang

Can anybody help a buddy out??? I bought a Ruger #1 in 375 H&H for a future Moose/Grizzly/ hunt. It has iron sights, I think I may want to put a scope on it...any suggestions???, also its SS. I'd appreciate any input... Click-bang

Well gentlemen, I think I made the right decision...I bought the SW 460 V, six inch barrel ,what an awesome weapon!!!!I picked it up Tues. though I didnt get to shoot it til Thurs. WOW. The .45 long colts were like shooting a .22 with the weight of the gun...then the .454 Casull...it felt like...

Thanks Redhawk1, I'm going to put a scope on this one, I have a Aimpoint red dot on one of my AR-15, and an Eotech on my carbon AR,I love them both, I may end up with a red dot on this after awahile...I'm ordering the 5". thanks for your input.Can't wait to get the gun. and go after "Hogzilla"...

thanks for your reply Janitor/Xring44, yes I'll be using a scope...and i like the shorter barrel, both in looks and ease of un-holstering.if thats a word. I'm looking forward to some real world experince veiws.

I'm going to purchase a pistol to go Hog hunting...I like the features on the Smith and Wesson 460, I like the 460 V, for ease of carrying, but I'm not sure if the barrel will be long enough (5") or if I should go with the 460XVR ( 8-3/8) most of my shots will be inside 50 yards...any advice...
