    Fixed Barrel Center-fire Semi-Auto Pistols

I understand now. I want to thank everyone for their time, especially MedWheeler, who's post really summed up the idea behind locked-breeches. I also found a video on YouTube that discussed how the recoil is directed into the palm with the locked-breech design, in contrast to the blow-back...

    Fixed Barrel Center-fire Semi-Auto Pistols

I'm wondering if anyone could point me to a pistol that fits the title's description. I was at the range there in Llano, TX, west of Austin. I learned from some nice guys there that for .22s, semi-auto pistols are generally more accurate than revolvers (I was wanting a 9'' .22 revolver, now...

    The Marlin 39 Club

Nomad17: What kind of condition is it in? If it is is/almost mint condition, then shoot yeah it's a good price to me. If it's beat up, then it depends on how damaged it is; the aesthetics of the rifle is important to a lot of people, but may not be to you.

    The Marlin 39 Club

I just got one of these rifles; made in 1985, and I paid a pretty penny for it. I had people telling me at the gun show, here in Austin, that I couldn't have made a better choice for a first firearm. Just wanted to show it off... I'm going to the range with my pops tomorrow... so excited!

Anything a lever action can do, a pump or semi-auto can do better" true or false?

This thread was very informative reading. Four years into the future now, I thought I'd "bump" it to bring attention to it, in case anyone might benefit from reading it as I did. Thank you gentlemen for your input into this subject.

    A .22 with a loading gate?

I am looking at a first rifle for myself and am eying the Marlin 39A lever action .22. I would prefer, though, a .22 rifle that had a loading gate like the Marlin 336 and Winchester 1894 have. Are there any .22s that load in this way? If not, what is the reason why the 30.30s are loaded...

    Showing ID when purchasing BP?

kingpin008: I'm betting your a FoxNews guy like most of the nation, so I'm sure you'd be shocked to find out that Judge Andrew Napolitano a former superior court judge (I assume that is one level under Supreme) was recently on Alex Jone's radio show. If you don't take my word here is a nice clip...

    Showing ID when purchasing BP?

Alex Jones says the government is keeping tabs on gun owners, libertarians, constitutionalists (some argue those are the same thing) and activists-the-like, something to do with elitist taking over, and martial law under the guise of a pandemic. Remember the swine flu scare? Naaaa, that's...

    Stainless Examined

I am inquiring on the lack in prevalence of stainless steel barrels in the muzzle-loading industry. I would think that it would be very popular due to ability to slack in maintenance, that is, the "safety" easement of having a rust resistant barrel. Is it not popular simply because it ruins...
