Please help me diagnose my crappy Glock 23 shooting

OP: When you grab the G19/23 from a holster, or after speed reload or any time your hand is subject to shifting on the grip, and point it at the target do the sights align naturally with the target? What I found is the G19/23 was the most inconsistent handgun in this respect for me. It's the...

Please help me diagnose my crappy Glock 23 shooting

I know your struggle. I tried grip change, trigger pull, tighter grip, looser grip, "surprise break"... pretty much it all. The G19/23 never became a gun that fit me even after more than 20,000 rounds through that specific platform. I'd struggle with that gun, then grab my Glock 26/17/30, CZ...

    M4C News letter, 9mm -v- .45

This validation will likey propel 9mm far in the eyes of many. It's just how it goes. The thing to always keep in mind reading these selection and procurement recommendations is: You can't tell your troops you're giving them less than the very best. Period. The imputus to this is...

Please help me diagnose my crappy Glock 23 shooting

The Glock 19/23 has been, and remains, a gun I struggle to shoot well. >20k through G19/23s and still not on par with Glock 17, Glock 30, Sigs and 1911s. It's the ergos. I love the idea of the G19, but I've just about given up on it.

The 1911 pistol: Obsolete, irrelevant and immaterial

I shoot the 1911 best of any handgun platform. That remains relevant and material to me.

Handgun you trust your life with?

For SD/HD/CCW I won't own it if I don't trust it. And, I won't own it if I can't shoot it well. Life's too short, and choices too plentiful, to mess with a gun that's fussy. Glock 17 is go-to HD, zombies and SHTF Kahr CM9, P220 or 1911 for CCW

Out of all of em' 9mm is hard to beat.

I disagree it's a false point, especially as it often forms the basis for those that select .45acp (i.e. performance gain is worth cost, weight, capacity, recoil, etc.). Regardless, phrased the way I did no one's going to argue they are "the same" shot-vs-shot comparing premium ammo. I'd take...

Out of all of em' 9mm is hard to beat.

Choosing 9mm needs no validation I often carry a 6+1 9mm because it's small and light. And a 17+1 is my HD. However, I don't need to delude myself to justify my choice by saying 9mm offers "the same performace" as 40sw or .45ap. While it's always been very good, and is good enough for...

    realoading 9mm?

It's not worth reloading 9mm. Buy your ammo at Walmart. More reloading components for me.

    9MM Options

OP: None of those are ideal CCW due to size. The CZ is a fine shooting gun. I've owned the SP10 and the 75 Compact. I enjoy my 92fs as well. The Sig P226 is a nice blaster. For a 9mm range AND CCW: CZ Compact CZ PCR Sig P228 Sig P229 Glock 19
