    44 mag case not expanding?

I ran a second batch using Trail Boss. It produced a much higher pressure -- around 18,000. Still sooted up.

    Where can I find a 429215?

Thanks. I'll give them a call this afternoon.

What was once lost is now found. :)

I've misplaced just about everything; wallet, car keys (found 'em in the fridge), glasses, jacket, and even my truck once. But a gun? Nog nooit. Never. But I am glad you found yours.

    Where can I find a 429215?

I'd like to try a recipe for 44 magnum for my rifle. It calls for a #429215 cast lead bullet propelled by 9 grains of Titegroup. But I'm having trouble finding a supply of 429215 bullets. Titegroup is also scarce but still obtainable. Anyone know of a source for these specific lead cast bullets?

    44 mag case not expanding?

I believe I will. But for the current batch I’m putting a heavier crimp on the bullet. Just to eliminate that as a possibility. Then I load some with 6.8 g. (7.2 is max).

    44 mag case not expanding?

I just ran some 44 mag rounds through my Rossi 92 lever gun. I used a 165 lead round nose projectile powered by 6.5 grains of Universal. It generates 10,350 psi. This is from the latest edition of the Lee Precision loading manual. Here's the problem. The cases are exceedingly blackened after...

    Finland gun owners?

I should also mention that the Boer Wars was an excellent example of this. The Boers were 'n regtig burgerweermag (true citizen's army). They had no uniforms. They used their own horses, and their own rifles which as one British general observed, 'any man that comes within 700 yards of a Boer...

    Finland gun owners?

Finland, Sweden, and Norway have strong hunting cultures. Which is one reason they do well at Biathlon. It is also demonstrably difficult to invade a country that has extreme climate and terrain combined with a citizen's army. Ask Napoleon and Hitler. Both Germany and France's armies were...

I think our gun rights are about to come under heavy attack.

Now that's what I call a glass half full. Believe me, this type of thinking makes life much more pleasant, and probably healthier.

    Knife or Gun?

Russian creative high points: Ballet, the field hospital, corrective eye surgery, air ionization, the Khalaznikov. Low points: Communism, Russian Roulette, and this knife/gun combo mishigas.

    Just got my NRA ballot

This is a good example of applied logic.

I think our gun rights are about to come under heavy attack.

I assume you refer to the morbidly obese scion whose family bought him a governorship.

    Rossi peep sights

That looks pretty easy. I might get one. If it doesn't work out out I can always remove it and re-install the safety.

    Rossi peep sights

Interesting idea. I’d rather have a peep sight than a safety of suspect workability. I wonder how hard they are to install.
