    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

Thanks. I didn't think the slap was intentional. "you may very well be the 1%" I am the 1%.

    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

hotshotshoting said: "but just be aware that 99% of semi auto failures and accuracy failures are shooter induced!" Hey hotshot, that's the second time you've posted that nicely subtle slap to the face. I guess maybe you should like to know that my semi auto failures were not shooter induced...

    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

"As a gun dealer, you are well aware that 99% of all gun buyers expect their new guns to work right out of the box." I'm just one of the 99-percent-of-gun-buyers types, but I'd love to meet that one idiot out of a hundred who would buy a gun with the expectation that it won't work.

    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

Well, I finally got my LCP back from Ruger this week. It spent just a little over a month in Arizona. I took it out to the desert and put a total of 75 rounds through it--some Remington, some American Eagle, and some Winchester. All 95 gr. All FMJ. The Winchester is flat-nosed. No...

Do you carry with a round chambered?

Stump Water said: "Load the DA wheelgun with the hammer resting on an emty chamber. Load the DA semi-auto with a full mag and an empty chamber. Pick up each one and pull the trigger. It's different." Stump, that's not what I mean at all. I meant, with a DA semi-auto loaded and one...

Do you carry with a round chambered?

"See... if you carry a wheel gun you wouldn't have to ask that question." How is that different from a double action semi-auto? And yet the question is still asked and being answered. It makes a good point. If you carry a double action revolver, it is assumed you'll load it fully. But if...

    Jocko, Yes.

    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

Farnorthdan, I already tried a bunch of different ammo--not that I think that one should have to wade through otherwise reliable ammo makers to find the one that my fussy gun likes. My LCP was fussy (i.e., unreliable) with all of them.

    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

I called Ruger today. They got my LCP on July 10th. Customer service said they are backed up a month. So maybe in two weeks, I'll have my LCP back, and we'll see if it's going to stay.

Handled the new Kahr .380 yesterday

Jocko said: "If you don't know what the features are on a kahr over the lcp, I'm not going to sit here and write um down for you." Is the list really that long? I guess I have to take a course on Kahr and study up. I just don't know my Kahrs like I'm supposed to. Does anybody know of a...

Handled the new Kahr .380 yesterday

Only time will tell if the price to value matches. --usp9 And that's the crux. And by the way, the Kahr currently offers nothing at all in the .380.

Handled the new Kahr .380 yesterday

Jocko said: "Don't compare it to the lcp or kt 380, both good guns but the kahr just offers so much more that could never be done in the $300 price range or even close to it. It's got to work perfect though or at any price, it will not be acceptable." I'd like to know what more it will offer...

    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

taurusowner, It looks like you read only the previous couple of posts, and then posted. If you'd read the whole thread, you would know I've put many different ammo brands through my LCP. They all failed me. Or rather my LCP failed them all. As to the point on money, I don't buy that...

    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

Yeah, but I hate the way the Kel-Tecs feel. They are rough and poorly finished. If both guns reputedly have their share of problems, I'd rather have one with a nice finish at the very least. Maybe what I should've done is wait for the new Kahr.

    Problems with my Ruger LCP.

I sent it to Ruger today. They sent me a UPS mailer for the shipping. We'll see what they do.
