    Pistol caliber carbine

I've been considering a pistol caliber carbine. I have both a .40 and a .45 handgun. Which caliber will show more improvement through the longer carbine bbl? I could care less which caliber I get, but thought one might be a better pick because of increased velocity and such. Thanks. Greg

    CZ 75 P07 won't fire in DA?

I've tried it. When you decock, the hammer goes to half cock position.

    CZ 75 P07 won't fire in DA?

Admittedly, I really know nothing about the CZ, technically that is. But DA should fire after decocking just by pulling the trigger, right? I always thought that was the purpose (function) of a decocker. My buddy called CZ this afternoon to ask....no one home! All at the Shot Show. I was...

    CZ 75 P07 won't fire in DA?

A friend has a CZ 75 P07 9mm that he'll sell me. I'd never fired it before, so he gave it and a Walther .40 to me to take out and try. He'll sell either one, I'd rather have a .40 but I like the CZ a little better than the Walther. Anyway, I can't get it to fire in DA after decocking it. He...

    Walther P99 or CZ 75 01?

I had a Glock 22 for several years, and while I liked it, it just never really fit comfortably in my hand. My daughter enjoyed shooting it, but she has smaller hands than I do. Since I'll be giving her this handgun sooner or later, I'd rather she have something that fits a little better. I sold...

Is it worth a trigger job?

I've got a S&W 442 which has a CT laser grip installed. I like the gun, but the trigger stinks! Has anyone had a trigger job done on theirs? Was it worth it? I know what the general purpose of this type pistol is, but still....it needs to be a somewhat lighter pull here! thanks. Greg

    Unburned powder?

A friend and I were out this evening at the range shooting our .45's. I've got a compact that he wanted to try out. I had some factory loads and he brought some reloads. I had no problem until I shot some of his reloads. We noticed that his rounds were REALLY dirty. Dirty to the point of having...

    .45 acp for coyotes?

Go for it Poser! I've called a lot of coyotes in less than 10 yds away and always wondered why I didn't try my pistol once. Greg

    Comparison: Python vs Anaconda?

I've got an 8" Colt Python, love the thing, but I've always wanted a .44 mag. Lately I've been considering selling/trading the Python for an Anaconda. How did the Anaconda compare to the Python for quality? The Python has always been considered as having the best fit/finish of any revolver made...

    Sight options for my RIA

I've had a RIA full size 1911 for some time, and just picked up the compact model (CS). I had never noticed any problem on the FS being able to pick out the sights but on the CS, they really seem hard to find in certain lower light. Don't know if it's the shorter sight radius or what. Would just...

    Rock Island Armory question?

I haven't had a chance yet to try it out, maybe today if it quits raining long enough. Sounds like the supplied "ACT" mag works well for most everyone, so I'll probably look for more of these. I couldn't get the dealer down too much on the price (some but I tried for more LOL), but he did throw...

    Rock Island Armory question?

I've had a full size, standard Rock Island Armory 1911 for a couple of years. Thought I'd get a compact model. Picked one up at a gunshow a week ago. There's a standard owner's manual with the pistol, plus a supplement that says this is a "CS" model. I assume that that's a Compact (Commander)...

    Smith 442 or 642......

I just bought the 442 a couple of months ago. At the store, a friend and I were comparing the two models, and both felt the blue sites were a little easier to see over the silver. Love the gun, put CT grips on it, but I hate the trigger (should be just as smooth as my Python!! LOL), so I guess...
